You can try

Not sure how long they let you delay a vehicle order but a few months isn’t out of the ordinary.

So for your friend, if they delayed his order multiple times, did they refund the order fee when he cancelled it? Do they enforce the non refundable policy if they fail to deliver the product within reasonable time?

OP thanks for the info. Was able to snatch a red SR+ “demo” with less then 50mi. Now just waiting for the delivery call.

The order fee used to be $100. From what I’ve seen on the forums some people let it go and some people got a SA(sales advisor) to apply it to the delivered car’s purchase price balance.

The Plaid would not have qualified for any EV tax credits anyway, so might as well get it now.

I am still perturbed that Tesla made PPSW the free color.

You know, it used to be black in the early days.
White would cost you extra back then.

These use the Chaina batteries - I think they had production issues and plugged the hole by importing the Chinese batteries

LFP batteries were released for SR+ in the US this September giving it 262 miles vs 263 miles that it was previously rated for with the NCA battery pack.

Different lithium chemistry but LFP allows and encourages you to regularly charge up to 100% vs NCA which they recommend to charge up to 90% on regular usage and 100% for infrequent long trips.

In other words, you get 262 miles regularly in LFP vs 236 miles in the NCA packs.

I got the NCA pack but if given the choice, I’d choose LFP over NCA any day.

So you are saying Tesla threw in an extra 30 mile of range? Like buying a 4 cylinder engine and being given a v6 for free?

Our SR+ came with the LFP Battery.

Sounds like they threw in an extra -1 mile of range.
