I purchased model y proformance red multi white interior 2025 legacey in may brand new for 37.5k , i have since may 25 now with 3800 miles mint condition, and I have confirmed offer to sell it for 41k, recently I had a test driver with model x at tesla (i also did test drive for lucid air and garvity, Lyriq, Model Y Juniper , Cybertruck)
By far the best car I ever drove and since my test drive i cannot take it out of my head is found tesla model x 2023 hw4 black exterior, beige interior, 15k milage Branded titile after checking carfax the car been purchased by tesla since the computer was burned and tesla took it back fix the issues and put it back to the market, and now there is a guy in facebook that purchase it last year eith 800 miles and looking to sell it for $55k he agreed to 50k before we meet , I am considering to offer him 40k , and max up to 45k if he agrees should I go for it or let it go ? There no many 23 hw4 in the market they are all hw3 and the few that avilable are in the 55k to 60k range

it still under warrenty , Tesla fix the issue, and by califirnia law the car must be stampt as branded, and tesla can only put it back in the market if they fixed all the issue , still plenty of warrenty

if tesla fixed the car and it still have warrenty 50K miles and till 2028 , in the carfax report i run there are not issues beside the original issue which Tesla changed the Entier Computer added new HW4 sicne April 2025 when tesla fix the issue , there is not report that the car having an issue , what could go wrong ? currently cars with this specks are around 60K and up with HW4, (there are many in the low 50K with HW3 but i dont want to get stuck with old HW , so lets assume i buy it for 40K-45K what kind of issues i am going to have that lets say tesla will not fix and i have to pay out of pocket
First if he already came down $5,000 will he really come down another 20%? to 40k? PLUS if similar cars are going for 60k what does that tell you about a 40k version of the car? Do your homework, get full service records and a warranty would help.
He deserves all the headaches coming his way if he buys it. Only branded titles to buy are theft recoveries/accident repairs and that’s after having a PPI (including body shop check); no more than 60% of retail value.
i did test driver all the bettwe EV cars out there , nother is compered to Model X and i dont care about the falcon doors or the automatic door, just the feeling to ride on this car is absoulty amazin
Tesla sales guy that i purchased my 2 model Y told me that the many x lease owners are not goig to bring the X back since Tesla canceled model x as of april , so i will not see many in stock and tthe HW4 that will come back will be way above 60K on tesla used inventory
Wait you will not buy it ? Then why wasting everyone’s time here. Honestly, after everyone warning you about this, I can understand that the heart wants what it wants and you only live once. I say go for it ! What’s the most that can go wrong.

Resale value for one. Even though you might be willing to buy a model X with a branded title, no one else wants to lol so good luck trying to sell it in a few years
