Teach me: Leasing a Mercedes GLC COUPE

Hi!

I’m new here, and am anticipating leasing a GLC Coupe. I’ve never leased and I’ve never dealt with Mercedes before. I haven’t even been to the dealership to see this vehicle but I’m pretty sold on it. I really like the exterior of the BMW X6 & X4 but I love the interior of the Benz much better. Anyway… with that said…

What can I expect from Mercedes on this model? I’ve read the forums and I’ve played with leasehacker calculator based on the options I want. I expect to start seriously shopping around the end of the year when most dealerships try to get rid of stock. So far I’ve come up with (sales price of 50000 is an assumption):

MSRP: 55454
Sales Price: 50000
10% off MSRP
Taxed Incentives : 0
Untaxed Incentives : 0
Down Payment: 0
Post-Sale Rebate : 0
Acquisition Fee: 795
I want to pay my acquisition fee upfront.
Miles/yr: 15000
Residual: 58%
Residual (%) at 15,000 miles/yr
Months: 36
Money Factor: .00100
APR: 2.4%
Enroll in Mercedes-Benz Autopay to lower the MF by 0.00010
MSD: 2
Max. MSD: 10
Money Factor after MSD: 0.00076
APR: 1.82%
Document Fee: 80
License/Registrat. Fee: 400
Sales Tax: 9.25%

Monthly Payment (Excl. Tax): $558
Monthly Payment (incl. tax): $558
Drive Off: $5,072
First month’s payment incl. tax: $558
Down payment: $0
Total MSD payment: $1,300
Registration and doc fee: $480
Acquisition fee: $795
Tax on the total lease payment: $1,939 (I’m in Tennessee … is this correct?)
Leasehackr Score: 8.3 years
Disposition Fee: $595
Total Lease Cost: $23,493

Your assumption is wrong. Doubt you would get anywhere near 10% off MSRP on a GLC coupe or non-coupe. Read the various threads about the GLC and look the quotes people have been getting.

He mentioned that his shopping will occur towards the end of the year. Who knows at that point. 10% should be very attainable, you just need the right dealership and patience.

Yes the idea is to shop close to the arrival of the new year models

I’m just basing my post on recent postings/numbers. I guess OP is also assuming RV will increase in Dec as well compared to recent numbers. Maybe/maybe not, no one knows what will happen in Dec.

Reasonable assumptions.
RV and mf could change.
Take your time, start shopping and test drive.
Mercedes is heavily optioned so you may not get the options you want when old models are being cleared.

Thanks everyone. I realize it’s a bit far in advance so things are highly speculative … and this is a relatively new model. I’m a Virgo (and female) so I always start planning things way ahead of time lol. It can be a gift and a curse.

I’ll probably head out to the dealership and least for a peek and test drive. I’ll keep my options open on the Bimmer as well though since apparently those lease a lot better.

Welcome to the forums and welcome to leasing.
I think these numbers could be realistic at the end of the year but none of us have any way of actually knowing that. Right now the GLC (in both coupe and traditional suv form) is a hot commodity for MB so great deals on them are virtually unheard of.
Its great to plan ahead, but too far ahead and you might make yourself crazy. In addition, there are a lot of factors other than just MB that could impact this. Some other brand might be offering crazy great deals on a similar model around the time you are ready to move. If you want to be a true “leasehackr” you need to have a little bit of flexibility on the model of car that you want to allow for the best value (cars within the same segment/class obviously).

Not everyone wants to be a “leasehackr”, some just want invaluable info posted here to get what they would consider a great deal. I don’t consider myself a “leasehackr”, just picking others’ brains

Now that we have this input, I shall enter it in the the appropriate field in the leasehackr calculator and see what it says …

It says “ask again later”

Not everyone has the [crystal] balls to be a leasehackr

Ergo; its a virgo?

Great deal = hackr (IMO). What’s the distinction I’m missing?

You need to ask community about definition of “leasehackr”. “Great deal” is too vague and can mean different things to different people.

Well, because you asked for a monthly payment (big mistake) instead of sale price, and he gave it to you.
Not sure what you are asking about being feasible.
