Go back to anyone that didn’t want to pay shipping and offer them free shipping just for fun, they’re not going to say yes anyway, but just for fun.
And if they do agree, you’ll have a pleasure of saying HELL NO!!!
Brought to you by Two and Half Men.
Family guy version was best.
@WeakestLink - I feel for you my man.
You go on almost any auto enthusiast website and when it comes to a sale for justifiable money (just like a lease transfer) all you hear is - “Beautiful car, this will sell quick, you won’t have any problem with this, someone’s gonna get a great deal… blah blah blah.”
While the positive vibes are appreciated, the reality is often times much more stark. Tire kickers, poor credit, angry wives, nickel and dimers, and every other reason in the book to say yes then no as you have seen over the past month.
I have been successful many times on private sales and lease transfers. Some have been far easier than others, but many have been full of headaches and problems.
I’m now at the point where I won’t do a transfer unless the deal was unbelievable and would go quickly, but then I would be hesitant to do the transfer anyway in the first place if the deal was so good initially. When it comes to private party sales, I was over the scams and deadbeats showing up at my house wanting to give me a bad check or a 1984 mustang GT 5.0 as a down payment with interest only monthlies for 10 years. Sign of the times it would seem.
I wish you the best of luck and hope that you find that ass for that seat soon.
This is a better deal than any i4 M50 deal any broker has been selling all month long by decent margin. It just doesn’t help that most of America is cash poor. MSDs are great for held to term lease, but can make things sticky on a transfer.
I fully agree. But I am also correct as to the grind of it all.
I’ve found transferees quickly for my last 3 BMWs, all with $$ down and MSDs. And this i4 M50 is a much better deal than the last one I transferred last year.
Could be the same “chilling effect” the housing market is experiencing due to tariffs and general uncertainty.
I think you are just in some bad luck funk, hitting one goal post after another with nothing going in the net (and yeah, MSDs don’t help either). I guarantee you’ll have a parade of takers as soon as you find one. GL!
Still getting tons of interest. Here’s the latest offer:
“Yes if you would keep your deposit in with them I would do it and return it to you after the lease is up ”
So I just have to trust that he’ll send me the $3150 deposit at the end of the lease. How could any reasonable person turn that down?
“Dear Sir, I’m genuinely overwhelmed by your exceptionally generous offer. Unfortunately, I shall not be able to accept it without one of your kidneys. Please feel free to send the one you like the least and we have a deal”.
How about half-sies?
Haven’t really read everything on this page but my eyes bugged out at the price lol. You say it’s still available
Yes, it’s still available.
REDUCING TO $499 EFFECTIVE.
STUPID CHEAP LEASE for a $75K i4 M50.
$1856 down
$3150 sec dep
$441/month
STEP ONE: Contact me when you’re ready to start the transfer. You will pay me the $530 transfer/application fee and I will immediately pay that same amount to BMWFS. BMWFS will email you a link to the application for you to complete.
STEP TWO: Once approved, you will pay me $1856 for the down payment and $3150 for the security deposit already held by BMWFS. That $3150 security deposit will transfer to you as the new lessee and you will receive that back at the end of the lease.
STEP THREE: Depending on transfer date, you will pay me the prorated amount for the current month’s lease payment.
I will help with logistics (airport pick up, meeting transport driver, etc) but you are responsible for making all arrangements.
At this time, I am not open to any offers other than what is posted so please do not ask.
I got super excited when I saw the offer, and then saw that the car didn’t have Driving Assistant Professional (adaptive cruise/lane centering), which is personally essential to me as someone who’s owned M cars and EVs (but not both at once). Might be why you’re having a bit of a dry spell but I dunno anything.
I got super excited when I saw you respond to this thread, and then saw that you’re not actually interested in transferring the lease, which is personally essential to me as someone who’s transferred many cars (but not many cars at once). Might be why I don’t understand the point of this post but I dunno anything either.
Transfer Pending.
Congrats!
I think you know the drill by now… ping one of us if you need to reopen this.
