Southeast Toyota Finance - Lease Deal Question

I have been checking with a few of the local dealerships here in Florida about leasing a Tacoma. The Edmunds forum is telling me that have no data for SETF leases. One dealer I have been working with is telling me SETF will not allow them to use Ally and the terms are now 48Months / 12k Miles at a MF of .00324. This is much higher than TFS and wondering if I am being told a story if there are others who might validate this is indeed what is coming out of SETF - Thanks!

TFS doesn’t operate in SETF states AFAIK so what TFS is offering is wholly irrelevant.

Unless you’re willing to fly/drive to shop outside of SETF territory.

Why would you lease something like a Taco anyway? You’d be one corporate policy change away from losing access to all the equity. Wouldn’t surprise me if SETF has already made that decision.

SETF doesn’t allow 3rd party buyouts from what I remember reading on here.

I was looking at a Taco because I actually need a vehicle and have done well with leasing these in the past. This particular dealer isn’t sticking an ADM or MVA on top of the MSRP and that had me looking there to see if a lease was doable, but not looking that way.

His point is you should be purchasing. Leases are “attractive” but this is the type of vehicle to finance.

Wow 7.7% on a 48…this is pretty bad, and considering this car would be out of warranty it’s last year.

I agree, I was hoping the dealer was just full of it and since Edmunds has no data for SETF, I wanted to see if others had this same experience.

Buy/finance a Taco: holds value really well and all the equity is yours.

Lease a Taco: none of that equity is yours, despite it being worth way more than payoff.

Did they say they don’t have information at all or just don’t have it yet, since it’s the beginning of the month? Sometimes it takes them a few days into the month before they have all the new numbers.
