Since this was a third car, low mileage use etc - I had something in mind based on prior deals and the dealer hit the numbers with the exact color I wanted so pretty happy w it although you can probably improve on it
“Approximate” Calculator attached - the MF is marked up I know but the discount from MSRP makes it work. Could have gone for a 10k/y for a few bucks more but the other third car that I am replacing barely had like 5k per year usage on it

But I have become a total “EV convert” - who knows how they will hold up long term - but they drive and handle so sweet, have all the right tech, give you the carpool lane sticker and are cheap to comparable ICE vehicles. This one also was relatively cheap to insure w costco connect and has a ~400 mile range w this LG battery

I didnt ask but you are right about the discounts - will probably increase. Since I had just sold my other car to carmax, I didn’t want to wait too long. Sometimes the cheap ones get snapped up quickly and then you are left w little selection at the low end
400 mile range lol. what planet are you living on… a moon with low gravity? i have a 2023 Pro S with LG battery. 270 miles on a good day is the best i can do in california weather.

based on the battery % left and how much I’ve driven on display, estimate varies between 380-395- now will i let the battery run down to 0% just to prove my point? of course not
But I have the Pro RWD if that makes any difference. Only time will tell. Like I said, who knows how these things will hold up over time.
oh definitely - I think lot of ppl who would have never given it a second thought are going to get lured in by these low to mid 300s deals, we may even see high 200s at some point

sure, i’ll leave the “witty” for the real world and give you some hard cold facts instead. The EPA rated range for this vehicle is 275 miles for RWD and 245 for AWD and thats just about how much it can do on a good day based off of my 8000 miles of driving it.
ID4 Pro has a battery size of 77kw. a Tesla Model Y which has less drag coefficient than the ID4 has a 81kw battery is rated for 330 miles and can barely do 300 on a good day. a tesla model S with a 100kw battery (30% more battery!!) and is a much more aerodynamic sedan cannot do 400 miles, it does about 360.
Nice work! I feel VW ID4s and Ford Mach-e are gonna be fire sold end of year. Hyundai was smart and moved first with clearing their Ioniqs end of summer.
