I wouldn’t call this a fabulous deal but for a Trail Boss it was the best I could find. I had quotes from about 9 dealers throughout California. Most had a hard number and would not budge. I was in serious negotiations with three of the nine. The biggest sticking point was the MF. Some were as high as .00159. I had given up and started looking at RSTs but inventory sucked so bad.
My new plan was to wait until the new incentives came out and for inventory to build back up. At the last possible minute, a dealer that was a 90 minute drive away called and said, “Ok, we’ll take your offer.” It was a rainy, miserable day and the dealership was dead. The sales person said nothing was moving at all.
