Originally asked for this XRT, which they came in at $537 at $0 down for 24/12000 with MF at .00219. Then asked for Limited RWD, which came in originally at $587 at MF .00242

Just asked them to do $510 monthly for the Limited, and they said sure, they’d do it.

Manager then called me and offered the XRT at $485. I told them I’d do it at $450. We ended at $460/month sign and drive.

It was hard to find deals for Georgia on the forum, and I tried some brokers but shipping ($600-$1k) on top of broker fees all ate into it. This isn’t much better than many brokers but I was happy with it for a few hours of work and this being my first ever lease close to the end of the rebate.

Question for folks who are more experienced:

The calculator link seems accurate (11.1 score), but the Deal Link using the numbers (10.8 score) from the contract are slightly different.

They sent me this to confirm in writing the offer:

Which puts the discount at around 6.5% for selling price of: $53225.68

In the contract the “Agreed Upon Price” is actually a 4% discount of: $54,956

Both still ended up at $460 a month.

Does that mean that in the end they gave a smaller discount but lowered the money factor? I am just curious for my next lease negotiating in the future, as I thought the money factor couldn’t get lower than the base (.00219 as seen in my search with Ratefinder).

Thanks for reading!

Math’s not mathing on this one.

$36,725 sale price plus all the fees is $38,791. You’re at $40,746. What’s the missing $1,955?

Off the cuff, price looks ~$100/mo too high based on your discount, and this would be that difference.

I agree, math isn’t mathing there. There are no additional charges in the contract, and there weren’t any dealer add-ons. The contract does use that 40k number. Quite frankly at that point I didn’t care about the math, I got to the $460 a month at $0 and agreed to it, and just asked her to send me something quickly in writing just in case and she sent that.

Calculator using the discount in the non-mathing itemization: (6.5% discount) Estimated $460/mo
Calculator using the Agreed Upon Price: (3.5% discount) Estimated $545/mo

Maybe that discount % was just used to illustrate it and they changed something else to get to the $460? I think the only thing that could really change is the MF and that’s not shown in the contract, but I thought they couldn’t go lower than the base MF which she already said it was at (.00219). Using the calculator with the 3.5% discount and a MF of (.00119) I do get to the $460 estimate.

I am happy with my payment, at this point I was just curious about the math as I found the discrepancy between the calculators when entering it into the signed deals.
