Absolutely do MSDs if you can afford to. That will bring your monthly down and make it a very good deal for a 2025.
Iām sorry as this is totally foreign to me and I am terrible at math. How much would that be? And is that money I get back at end of lease? I tend to turn in leases early, would I still get the MSDs back? Thanks for all of your help.
Youāre not that bad at math as you managed to get a pretty good deal!
If you did the max MSDs (10), it would be $6,000. You would get that back when you turn the car in, minus any outstanding money you owe to Volvo.
I love the dealer I work with and my salesman is great and easy to work with. Iāve been wanting to get into a t8 for as long as I can remember but I can never afford it. Iām thinking this may be my opportunity-I donāt care for the refresh at this time and Iām thinking if I wait until my lease is up in August the deal may not be there as all remaining 25ās could be sold? So Iām willing to pay off three months of my current lease for the t8. Iāll consider the MSDās-thanks for the info!
Iāve never seen incentives like this on a Volvo, so now is the time to do it. My wife had 11 months left on her XC90 and even eating 5 of the payments (Volvo ate the other 6), were still saving $200/month.
I havenāt seen a deal like this either and I consider myself pretty savvy. Iāll be paying $45 more a month but itās a lot more car-Iāve also only ever had base trim or plus so ultimate will be a treat. Plus the t8! I live on an island so I will never have to put gas in the car unless traveling which I rarely do (two kids under twoā¦!!) thanks for your help. Iām really excited.
Make sure you get the first month free with Volvo āsign and driveā.
Iām assuming you live on the Vineyard? Iām up in Boston. My wife has a T8 for the last few years and probably only fills up the tank once every 3 months or so.
Which dealer have you been working with? Donāt worry, I wonāt tell anyone on Leasehackr! Iām just curious because some MA dealers are easier to work with than others. I got our new one at Herb Chambers, who I normally hate dealing with, but they came through this time.
i think they have been doing the first month regardless. sometimes they pull tricks though⦠like in my case they included the first month of part of the rebates (13500 were the rebates, and my first month was 391)⦠but they showed as if the rebates were 13109 and first month 391 totalling to 13500. I didnt care as it was a great deal at that point already.
Great deal. Can you share dealer info and or contact?
Yes, first month free.
It will depend on what the payment is. Each deposit is the payment rounded up to the next multiple of $50. So on a $575 payment, each deposit is $600.
You can make any deposits you want up to a maximum of 10. The more deposits the more you save on an absolute basis. The ROI for each deposit is the same.
Denim / Amber is the most saught after combination!

I had the same understanding of rounding up in 50s.
But dealer charged $4000 MSDs for my payment of $325.
I didnāt argue much, but now they are coming back with some kind of refund strategy for extra $500⦠Letās see ![]()
Would like to see some authoritative guidelines from Volvo financials on how they calculate MSDs⦠But such document may not be a public information.
Dealer or VFS? My niece has the same thing in TX. If they will do that the contract needs to be changed IMO.
MSD is based on MSRP bud donāt know how it is calculated
What? Itās based off your payment closet doing up to $50.
If your payment is $201⦠gets round up to $250 X however many months you want
thatās what i was told by the dealer. You are right on comparing few more.
Thank you
edit: technically that statement is right too as monthly will be based on MSRP and other discounts. She made that statement discounts remaining same it changes on MSRP. But i see how it is calculated.
