How do you arrive at an Adj. Cap = 39621.16?

Sell Price: 37150.00
Capped Fees:
Acquisition Fee: $1,095
Doc Fee: $85
Electronic Filing: $37
Registration/DMV: approx. $589
RoadVantage Theft: $274
Mystery Fee: 391.16 … ???

Gross Cap: 39621.16

Cap Reduction: 0.00

Adji Cap: 39621.16

You need to know how the Adj. Cap was calculated.

Also, you need to itemize the upfront fees of 1151.38 even tough they were covered by the dealer.

If you would kindly post the first two pages of your lease agreement with personal info redacted, that would answer all questions and help me e3valuate your lease. BTW, the money factor = .00001. Sales tax rate = 8.75%.

Hi Delta, thanks for the due dilligence, I am having a hard time balancing the numbers.

Acquisition fee was $1,095 and RoadVantage Theft was $274. Final adjusted cap cost on the lease agreement is $39,621.16 with no cap reduction. Dealer covered the $1,151.38 drive-off as a dealer non-cash credit. thnx that the MF is 0.00001 and residual is $30,465.50 (65%). I got help from here.

You’re very welcome. I computed all the relevant numbers on your agreement and they are accurate. The sell price (agreed upon value) is 38252.16, not 37150 as you indicated which threw me off. So, your dealer discount is 8617 or 18.4% off MSRP. Thid discount seems really good. Were there any miles on this car? Was it used as a demo/

??? Let me know.

Thanks. The numbers threw me off at first too, along with some inaccurate GPT calculations.

I actually pre-negotiated the deal through a Leasehackr broker, and this was the offer they came back with.

The vehicle was essentially new with only 16 miles on it. The payment would have been even lower with a 7.5k or 10k mileage allowance.

If you check my post history, you’ll see my previous lease wasn’t nearly as strong (I ended up buying it out), so it’s nice to finally put together a much better deal after gaining some experience.

I’m even thinking with a residual of about $30k, would buying the vehicle at lease-end make financial sense?

That will depend upon the condition of the car as well as the market at the time. You may want to look at used car prices for your Mercedes at lease end. Just as important is whether you are happy with it. It boils down to both a financial decision and a personal decision.
