$259/month, $0 down, 1st payment at delivery when the poor 70 year old gentleman drove 240 miles to deliver it to me. I grinded them to death and played game of chicken for 2 weeks and kept demanding them to give me the biggest loser and loss leader for the next operating quarter. To all their mgmt staff and finally i broke them but i felt I could have maybe gotten to under $200 a month if the car was still there in november because the MF was slightly better and costco $1000 incentive was back. Personally, i had no problem telling their new car mgrs and GSM’s on the phone and email to give me the biggest loser and loss leader all month and blow a unit out and give me the car. I told them to bleed so bad that they would never take a loser like that on any car deal so that my deal couldnt be replicated. I started off at $179 a month and they were at $300 with zero down. I rolled the dice and yelled at them for wasting my time…They called me 2 weeks later and then when they came down to $250, i didnt flinch and took the deal. Needless to say i probably had another $1000 or so i could have gotten out of them but i said screw it and agreed. 3 days later november programs came out and with costco my same deal would have been $200 becasue MF was better and costco came out. WHo knows maybe the car would have been there, maybe not.
I did have my worksheet and depreciation calculations all shown so they knew i wasnt just talking out of my ass. In my years of leasing, ive found at the end of the day whatever you say its up to the dealer whether they want to take a major loser or not…half the game is numbers and knowing that and the market pricing (becasue moment you drive off the car is used and depreciated), and the other half is mental and not knowing what their sales volume position is where they are desperate to just get rid of it. Ive been trying for last 2 weeks to get in $200s for another 4-5 cars and was kicked out of dealerships even with my contract lol. They were just not interested.
Anyways, decent deal for a $63K car.
P.S ive had maybe 15 PM’s in the last hour asking for dealer info. Please note that it only works on AWD tech which there isnt any more anywhere in the state that i can see. Those that have tech trims are not budging on discount.
I know that beucase Ive called to help 3-4 other people and there just isnt cars out there that will get you close to this payment because market has LUX and SPORT trims.
