that looks fantastic. Would love to get something like that

Put a target deal together and start calling / emailing dealers  . Good luck!

Your dealer got more?

Dealer does not have anymore, nor would want to replicate.

Any advice to how you found your loaners?

Cadillac website inventory lists loaners. From there just called dealers with my target offers until one accepted.

Curious, how did you approach dealers with your target offer? Something like “Hey, I’m looking to pay $X,XXX as a one-pay and qualify for these incentives.”? I’ve been contacting dealers for a couple of weeks, and it feels like they’re not taking me seriously as a buyer or think I’m not worth their time.

Sorry, not the OP, but IME if your offer is aggressively competitive and you’ve learned enough about leasing to communicate confidently using the proper language / terminology, you’ll be taken seriously.

Once you’re sized up as either a dilettante or a noob, you’ll commonly end up at a dark place.

on my 6th one and can confirm this to be helpful

Re: Target deal: Salespersons always like to ask “what monthly payment are you looking for” I try to give them the list of discounts that apply to me, and the discount I want- as aren’t the RV and MF set? is a Target deal best offered as a down and a monthly payment? or the discounts and price for the car?

Personal preference. Some on here prefer to give every single line item, I prefer to just give the Monthly payment & DAS combination that I would sign the car for, and that is based on the output from my target deal (and yes, I also mention mention something like “to help get there, I qualify for X,Y,Z conditional rebates” OR “I’ll be putting the maximum # of MSDs down to lower the MF, etc.”).

Whatever you do, don’t make it in between – either just leave it as monthly & DAS combination OR the full gamut. Anything in between leaves grey area and ambiguity. (e.g. if you just ask for a certain pre-incentive sale price, they could mark up MF, have high fee structure, etc.)

Even if you do just give the monthly & DAS offer, it’s still beneficial for you to have your target calculator handy and know all the details going in. Sometimes you’ll get a call with the GSM asking how you get there etc. (and sometimes I’ll say something like “without knowing your exact fee structure, it will likely take ~X% off MSRP before all the lease cash & rebates”)

Well OP, I tried all dealers within 100 miles of Chicagoland, best is like 6.5% off MSRP so you got the magic touch lol.

cast a wider net. are you open to shipping? What is your target offer, and how are you presenting it?

Found all CTU on Caddy website then called and asked for new car sales manager and told them looking to lease the CTU(s) they have and am looking to get 12 or so % off MSRP before any rebates, would like to pick up before month end.
Learned all Optiq have 4% margin on MSRP lol.

That’s a screaming deal. Congratulations op. Is that discount on MSRP easy enough to get? I managed to get 7.5% max.

Here’s a hack on Courtesy Vehicles with Cadillac and YMMV but there’s a round about way to get a courtesy vehicle.

Approach a dealer and tell them that you want the courtesy vehicle discount and tell them the vehicle you are interested in, even ones with 0 miles.

A vehicle over 250 miles is considered a courtesy vehicle.

If they really want your business, some dealers will be willing to put some miles on one of the vehicles in their stock and sell it to you as a courtesy vehicle. Now that the 2026 model has been announced, I can imagine more dealers will be willing to discount the 2025 more steeply.

Yes, this can work, but supposedly, they need to have 1200 miles to be officially “retired” to qualify for rebate. Not sure if some dealers are willing to skirt this restriction or not.

I don’t know if there is a subtle difference between “retired” vs “loaner / courtesy vehicle”, but I did get a confirmation from two dealers that they need ~250 miles on the car to provide the $2 courtesy vehicle discount

250 or 1200?
