I mean he wasn’t wrong…
Maybe you didn’t like the way he phrased it but he was 100% correct and you were 100% wrong.
And anyone who has been here for 5 years should know about the EV fleet tax credit loophole for leasing as most of the best lease deals are EVs for this exact reason. This thread was not about purchasing the car but about leasing it so why you bring up that it doesn’t qualify for EV tax credit for purchasing? That was irrelevant to this thread and most of LH.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the federal tax credit works.

There are zero vehicles that qualify the consumer for a federal ev tax credit on a lease. The list you keep referencing only applies to consumer purchases under section 30D of the IRA. It is totally irrelevant to a lease.

On all leases, the consumer does not get a federal tax credit. The lessor gets a federal tax credit under 45W of the IRA and then the lessor decides if they want to pass on an incentive. The list of qualifying vehicles you’re referencing is the qualification list for 30D, not 45W. They are not interchangeable.

IMHO you overpaid relative to what you got and that started with vehicle choice. In the last few months people have gotten Audi Q4s and SQ8s, not to mention BMW IX and Mercedes EQ and Acura ZDX for less.
