You’d get a kick out of the movie, Suckers.
It’s nearly a carbon copy of the attitudes found on r/askcarsales from fellas who call themselves salesmen.

Once I heard it was an $18K loser I kindly asked, “Well what kind of coffee do you like?” Knowing that would do the trick to close the deal, I pulled out a Starbucks Gift Card I had from last Christmas with $7.81 left on it and moments later I was driving out in a new M8 Competition Coupe. #Sales101
So close to one of these deals for 2024 M8 convertible in the Midwest. Looking to get to 1500 a month. I’m hoping November programs might get me closer to the magic number. Already getting almost 20% off so not sure what else can be done. Appreciate any advice.
What are the incentives you qualify for?
Try 39 month term.
This may be up for lease trade in a couple months. My ERAY will be here.
I added over $3K in aesthetic mods:
Maxton Front Lip
Painted Side Markers
GTX Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler
20% tint (not including windshield)
15F/12R Wheel Spacers
Acexxon - Rear Reflector Insert Vents
3 year Ceramic coating including windshield
Red v Brace $15 on Amazon
Car rocks! It is a land missle
I don’t have details other than 19.41% off sticker. Base MF and 39 months already in the deal.
Already at 39 but payment around 1619 with taxes but without registration. It’s out of state so they’re trying to make me register on my own.
Beautiful. I’m looking exclusively for a convertible.
So you don’t qualify for loyalty?
If the dealer shared a deal sheet with you, feel free to create your own post and include that info (make sure to redact any personal info).
If you’re getting nearly 20% off and buy-rate, just accept it’s beyond a good deal, the dealer is probably losing 10k+ to sell you that car, and just take it. I really can’t imagine that $1,500 vs $1,610 matters in the grand scheme of things to someone who can afford that kind of car to begin with, if the dealer has been negotiating in good faith it’s not their fault that the math just doesn’t reach your number.
You should see a nice improvement to your deal today if the dealer is still honoring the same discount. Lease cash on the 2024 M8 increased by $3k for November. Take it and run.
Hi @jackals - any suggestions on how you went about getting quickly to a good price with the dealership? Was it a “hi, I’m looking to do 18% off MSRP + incentives + buy rate”. Or, “I’m wanting an M8. What’s the best offer you can do if I do a deal today?”. And did you go via phone, email, chat…?
I knew the numbers and I knew it was possible. I also knew it was also going to take some time for the right dealer because they are literally losing 5 figures on the car… an ultra aged unit probably helps. Mine was on the lot for 310 days.
But I did it all via phone and I have been around, I am a very big car guy and I have had about 50 cars in 21 years of driving. I have made countless deals via out of state and they knew I knew what I was talking about and I’m in a kind of sales like profession so I am sure I came across that they had to give me a yes or no and they either wanted to play ball or not. It took about 8 dealers nationwide and I dealt with the head Sales Manager on what worked out to be the deal that panned out.
Man you’re on top of those #'s! They told me they don’t get it until their 2PM call. I’ve already seen some posts with the details. Nice job from the community helping share important info.
So lease cash is now a total of $9k plus $2k loyalty? Nationally?
Correct. On the 2024’s only.
same MF .00180 or any better?
