Last weekend I decided to do some hacking. I think this was a very solid deal on a monster car and a foreshadowing of what may be to come on M8 Comps. A lot of 2024 aged inventory with 2025s on lots already. Unfortunately not many wanted to play as I spent a good chunk of the afternoon with paltry discounts ranging from 5% off to 10% and one 12% off and that was about it. However, I did find one dealer that wanted to play and wound up getting this for 18.5% off MSRP pre-incentive (goal was to as close to 20% as possible w/ no or very small MF markup). I am also doing 12K miles per year, with 7500 it was $75/mo cheaper roughly ($1316/mo + tax). I also received just a slight markup on the money factor. Base MF is .00180 and reached this discount with only a .00195 markup (15 basis points). Apparently this equates to about a $17,500 loser according to the Sales Manager. With the pre-incentive discount + the BMW rebate ($8,000) it wound up being a $35,XXX total discount. This was a new unit, not a demo. Thanks for this. I grabbed a 25 M8 GC today after a few calls. Didn’t get as good of deal. About a $100 more a month but I’m happy. Didn’t realize the discounts and incentives were that good until your post. ---

Thanks again for the tip. Picked it up today. Also, for anyone else in the market. Just spoke to my advisor at another dealer, Westchester BMW. They have a 24 owner demo with 5k miles for $25,000 off plus loyalty of $7,500 I think (may be $5,500). Can be leased as well. Nice ride, and nice hack! I wonder if the monthly insurance bill is greater than the monthly lease payment 🤔 Instead of the “1% rule” LH will have a new rule that leases should not be more than the insurance payment. @z0lt3c needs one of these instead of another EV. ---

My insurance with Stare Farm is $1,700 a year for the 25 M8 and $1,500 for my wife’s X3M. Not bad. ---

Haven’t had a bmw M for a while, does the brake dust still come out heavy especially front wheels. I hated that every time i got a car wash 2 days later wheel were blacked out lol bmw was notorious for that ---

Yeah, it’s like that on anything with those size brakes and calipers the pads produce dust unless you have Carbon Ceramic - they leave 0 dust. I have had a few cars with those, but my prior M4, Z06, AMGs, etc with iron brakes, always heavy brake dust. You can buy other pads but I am not going to bother. I am going to ceramic coat the car and they will do the wheels, it will help a little bit. ---

I noticed the brake dust as well lol. You hit the nail right on the head - you will never win that battle with sizable brakes/rotors. Doesn’t matter what vehicle it is.
