Just to put it out there, I’ve seen Orlando, Clearwater and Coral gables all seemed open to negotiating awhile back.

Simply put, look for dealerships that aren’t Autonation.

Coral Gables definitely not playing ball, Orlando and Clearwater not enthused about doing a reasonable deal either. Looks like Florida is back to its normal self…

MB of Tampa is out of EQS SUVs from what they just told me.

Oh well. Let’s see if the situation improves in September and later in the year.

Cheers!

I got 13% msrp discount, 4500 Sams club discount and 7500 ev credit but dealer using high mark up money factor and no tax credits for Texas, lease quote came 24 months 1000$ so i said no.

I just got an incredible quote from BENZORNOTHING here on the forum.

19%+ before pre-incentives. No mark-up on the MF.

I am in the process of executing a local offer, hopefully done by tomorrow. Lower discount, but I wouldn’t need to deal with shipping from Portland to Miami…

Otherwise, I would have moved forward with him.

On a new unit? That’s a crazy deal

What would it cost you?

New unit. I know…. Crazy deal.

Also, from what I saw they only have AWD in stock because… well, they are in Portland. I preferred a 450+, not a 450.

As for the cost, I didn’t get to quote. But I’ve shipped from PA and NY before. Cost was about 1.5k for those. Last week a dealer purchased one of my cars and shipped it to AZ. They paid 1.2k. I’m in Florida.

There’s something going on with trunk money and I think MB is offering it to some dealerships only.

Or maybe it’s just achievable by a few dealerships given the volume of sales needed to trigger the funds.

This is just me speculating, but I talked to dealership that could not understand my top quotes. They couldn’t figure out how a dealership would be willing to take a huge loss. These perplexed dealerships claimed there was a $400 difference in monthly payment (holding all else equal). A couple asked me if I could let them know if the deal actually went through after it is done.

They seemed oblivious to the market on these cars. Let’s call a spade a spade. This car is a DOG. Way too expensive and clear lack of alignment between offering and target market. Older people are reticent to move to a new tech like this. They are also those that would be attracted to something like this.

The name of the game is subsidizing this car. Otherwise they’ll keep piling up.

That’s my 2 cents.

It’s $5,000 per car only if they hit objective for the month

Thanks Derek!

So you get $5k on every MB you sell only if you hit x number of units? Any model counts towards that objective? Is this for every MB dealership?

You trying to get 5k off a G63?

Only EQs. Not every MBs, haha. And yes, should be for every MB dealerships

Does this apply to EQE sedan or SUV as well?

just to add on with Derek, its for 3 consecutive months you’d need to hit 100% of your objective to be able to get paid the incentive money. Some dealers will work for it, some will not. It all depends also on your set objective to sell for EQ.

It should. Every EQs.

Lmao. I just leased an iX in July and an EQS SUV in August. I think I’m good for now :grinning:.

I’m also a little bit confused by the economics of selling a car at 19% off.

Invoice is 7%. 5k is another 5% of a 100k car. For simplicity purpose, let’s assume the dealership is not losing money until they discount by 12%.

I guess the possible explanation is that they only sell a few deeply discounted units as they approach end of month in order to meet the volume threshold of EQ sales that unlocks the $5k payment on all EQs. I guess that would make sense.

pretty sure this is also a demo with write down. has buyers guide on side window. still a really good deal.

What would this deal look like at 15,000 miles per year?

Has to be. Because no dealer is crazy enough or manager will get himself fired

So going back to March/April they had mostlikly $10k trunk money that means 17% off to break even…
