SIGNED: 2023 Ford Lightning Lariat ER $356/month, $356 DAS, 24/10500, MSRP $79K

,

That’s an amazing deal.

I can only hope to find something anywhere close to this when my current lease(s) expire next year…

@melvco I am in Texas too. Ford recently sent me this with an offer code. Do you think I can get a deal similar to yours and apply this offer code to it?

Thanks for posting - Can you share the email you sent out?

It was something like:

“Is the ‘23 Lightning still available, and if so, can you match this deal?”

And then below that I just pasted the block of numbers/info from a previous Lightning deal post. You can use mine if you want, just don’t include the LH score, lol.

No idea if you can still pull off a similar deal. It is my understanding that Ford has pulled the subvented lease option from certain ‘23 Lightning trims, which is what you need to get the super low interest rate. Without it, even if you get the $20K+ in rebates and discounts, it’d be very difficult to get anywhere close to it.

Where do you source your email addresses from for all the dealerships?

Do you just browse the dealerships and manually grab the email and then manually send it out?

I’ve found that if you go to their website and you find a part like ‘meet our staff’, it may not have their email right there, but you can hover over the link to email them, and it will show you the mailto address. Find a sales manager there and send them the message.

That’s a good idea srm. I actually just clicked on all the “get today’s price” or “schedule a test drive.” Basically anything that brought up a contact form where I could put my message in. Hah, for one I even pasted it in the online chat box that’s usually run by AI (and confirmed later they received it).

Figured I’d share that I finally picked up the truck this past weekend. Drove my loaner up to KC to swap for the Lightning. I know it’s dirty AF right now so maybe I will post better picks in the trophy garage after it gets tinted/cleaned next week.

A few early observations:

Traveling 500 miles in my first electric vehicle was an eye opener. It turned a ~7 hour trip into 10+ hours. I had to stop 4 times to charge (I made it all the way up there on a single tank in the loaner F150). It just takes some extra pre-planning/time, and if you don’t run into a line or a busted charger it actually goes pretty quick.

If/when you get the truck, sign up for Ford’s Blue Oval ASAP. It works with most charging networks and with it you avoid all the different apps and signups and payment hassle at the chargers. Multiple times I watched people fumbling around at the charger trying to get it to accept payment while I just pulled up and tapped “activate” in the Ford Pass app and it instantly started charging.

The truck itself is incredible. It’s whisper quiet, rides super smooth, and you have instant passing/avoidance power whenever you need it. Anyone who has ridden in it walks away very impressed. Oh and Blue Cruise is the best mass market hands-free driving system I’ve used. No hands at all required for the majority of my trip home.

Any tips on searching for the trucks… I see a lot of lightnings around me, but outside of looking up every VIN, I can’t tell if they are ER easily on Autotrader

Car gurus?

I been doing some searching myself, and found that all those trucks are priced with max rebates. And most of ford dealers really dont like to negotiate over the phone.

I used CarGurus but my solution to do this was filtering by price. At the time, there were no ER trucks priced under $65K, so this helped me narrow down my search. You could also maybe try filtering by features most common to ER trucks like blue cruise, moonroof(?), etc.
