Wow, great deal IMO. I’m new to the Hackr, how did you negotiate the dealer to sell at about 13% off MSRP? Where are they making any money on this deal?
Thanks for posting, it gives me a target to try to hit for an X1 here in Seattle.

Loaner car? Residual seems too low for brand new x1.

Could be a loaner but then I’d expect the residual to be even lower, I’m being quoted 59% RV for new 2020 X1 xDrive at 3 different dealers…

It’s a new car. Residual is 59% at 36/10k. Many dealers wouldn’t budge below 9% or 10% after negotiation. Just need to keep pushing back and asking multiple dealers by email/phone. Need to find one willing to deal, which took some time. $400 should be very doable depending on the incentives you qualify for—some brokers are around that number on this site. Could not find a justifiable (20%+ off) loaner around socal.

That’s because it isn’t a realistic discount unless they absolutely want to rid themselves of it.

I can’t speak to “realistic” as to the current market because I only briefly inquired as to one loaner, but based on prior experience leasing loaners, that is as low as I would go for a used car with a residual hit and inability to apply certain incentives (e.g., OL Code). As you suggest, some may settle for less I suppose, and would welcome you to share the basis for your contention. I was just offering some perspective compared to the deal because someone mentioned a loaner above.

Nice deal, congrats. Was it sDrive or xDrive.

sDrive… .

Hi. Looks like a pretty good deal. Any chance you would share the dealer info? I won’t be eligible for the college discount, but maybe loyalty is better than conquest? I would be eligible for either one since I currently have a BMW and a Lexus.
