Car lease negotiation is one of the most stressful things you can go through. I just wanted to be done with the whole thing. I didn’t even check on the Residual or MF numbers. Here is the deal signed:
2020 BMW 330i loaner (4,600 miles)
MSRP: $46,545
Mineral Grey Metallic/Canberra Beige Sensatec / Fine Wood Grain Grey Brown (love the light interior, no black for me)
Convenience Package (Comfort Access, Lumbar Support, LED headlights with cornering lights, Active Driving Assistant, Active Blind Spot Detection)
Heated Seats
Park Distance Control
Live Cockpit Pro (a must)
And all the standard goodies, IDRIVE 7, Extended NAV, Park Distance Control, Auto Dim Everything, Alarm, Apple Car Play, etc.
Did not have Ambient Lighting option (BUMER!)
3-year lease
10 miles per year
-Due at Signing: $2000 (including 1st payment)
-Monthly payment: $395 (tax included)
Very happy with the car. Night and Day difference compared to the F30. Suspension even without M Package is great.
MSRP $46,545. I was given about $6300 and discount from the MSRP and $3250 in incentives/rebate. I probably could’ve gotten another $10-$20 off the monthly payment but at this point it’s really small money.
Thanks to all of you. While I didn’t dissect the deal piece by piece and look at the residual and mf, given the features and options on the car plus the color combo, all and all this was a good deal indeed. BMW really stepped up its game with the G20. I think it is indeed the best in its class. The 4 series coupe and the upcoming i4 will simply be BEAUTIFUL.
that’s the point of posting here. to help others. without that info we can’t see what you did and how you got there besides the final numbers. congrats on the new car!
I probably could have gotten another $20 to $25 off monthly payment but with the Mineral Gray Metallic/Beige Interior color combo and the options and features on this car, I didn’t want to push it. I also wanted to get this done quickly.
People can forget that when you are shopping for a loaner or a demo car it is a question of AVAILABILITY most and foremost. 90% or more of the beamers out their are BLACK or WHITE for exterior colors and BLACK for interior color. I HATE black interiors with a passion. So much so that I would even pay more monthly just to avoid that color. So that point there really limits my search options. Also, many of those cars are missing essential features such as the Live Cockpit Pro (a must in my opinion) or missing the Convenience Package which for 2020 had more features included than in 2021. And as mentioned, with all the features and options on this car, its a winner.
Almost all the dealers and even some brokers I reached out to, never replied when I offered $395 including tax and $2000 DAS which it includes 1st payment. And that’s with the back and forth.
Is it a “great” deal? No. Is it a good deal? In my opinion, YES.
By the way, did i not mention the car is simply AWESOME!
Where did you get the car from? Does this include loyalty? I’ve been shopping around and have been quoted lowest 440 with 2k down for a basic package loaner 330i.
Congrats on the new car. However, you need to spend a bit more time on this forum to master the art of lease hacking. You need to know your numbers and stop monthly payment shopping.
The numbers are good, $395 monthly and $2000 down which includes first month, so in essence my down payment is only $1605. Let’s remember this car is almost $47,000.
Again the majority of the cars out there (95%) are black and white In which I have zero interest in and is not the case here. this car has a gorgeous combination of mineral gray metallic with a beige interior, tinted windows by the dealer and plenty of options and features: Live cockpit pro, Active driving assistant, Park distance control, Adaptive LED headlights, lumbar support, heated seats, back up camera, iDrive 7 + extended NAV, Comfort access keyless entry, Remote ignition, Active Blind Spit detection, etc. A whole lot of car for this much money.
Another $20 or $25 off monthly or a few hundred dollars off down payment doesn’t change a thing as this is little money at this point. People in this forum concentrate too much on the little details, for example a point of interest-rate or a couple hundred dollars off this or that.
What we should also be concentrating on is the big picture in which number one is AVAILABILITY, number two COLOR COMBiNATION, and number three OPTIONS and FEATURES on the car which it has plenty of. There are plenty of deals on this forum in which the monthly or the due at signing is less than what I am paying. But go take a look at the color combination black and white just like every other car on the street, not for me.
We do not know much about the deal as you didn’t provide the sales price, incentives, tax rate, MF, etc.
All we know is that you are currently paying ~$440 a month for this car.
I appreciate you sharing this deal, but it gives very little info to the rest of the users…
Clearly this is one of those self-congratulatory posts where the OP does not even know the details of his own “deal,” let alone share them. No matter how many times people have asked or keep asking, the lack of information remains, so…
