Shipping from CA to NY

yea…900-1200 range.

covered? (for a BMW i’m assuming you’d want that), covered costs more and that sounds right.

They’re reaching out to a third party shipping company on my behalf they use.

Unfortunately, it is insured by the third party, not BMW themselves.

Just wondering if any brokers on this forum located near CA has any connections?

That would be the case for any shipping. BMW will not insure any shipping except the original shipment from port to dealer.

I think I remember seeing @Anthony_Lopez post about shipping before.

Hi jay, feel free to reach out to us @ DSR Leasing.

Thanks! Anthony

I have reached out to DSR Leasing inquiring about shipping beforehand on the recommendation of @305Hackr.

I will reach out to you again!

Much thanks,
Jay

Jay, in addition to DSR’s quote, you can try https://www.uship.com

It’s a shipping broker. You put in origin and destination zip code, car info and you will get quotes from a bunch of shippers.

Yeah, best I received was $1,149!

Wanted to see if I can get a better quote!

Try New World Auto out of Katy TX. I have used them for Hackr Deals and they tend to get a solid review on the service and price. Ask for Philip. Not sure if it will help, but tell them Elliott from Dulles Motorcars referred you.

You can also try out AAA auto shipper where they do shipment with licensed and insured. They do transportation in a reliable manner for all kinds of vehicle at a affordable cost.

You can hire the Uship, We Will Transport It, A1 Auto Transporters, Calship and American Shipping.

Please follow up when you get your final offer. That would help a lot of people out.

So using uShip, I booked with Montway Shipping Company and was quoted at a final price at $1,150.00.

Although, uShip charges about $85 “service fee” which brought the whole shipment to $1,235.00.

Thank you everyone for your help!

$1100-$1400 are the quotes I received when I had my cars shipped from San Francisco to NY last year. I ended up paying $1100 for having it shipped in an open container and it took 2 days. I had no issues except all the salt it accumulated during its travel.

What company did you end up using?

So uShip had provided me with a carrier who had to in turn, find a driver that was heading in my direction.

Montway had taken more than 5 days to find a driver who barely spoke English and it took another 5 days to arrive.

The wait was long and tumultuous but at least the car arrived in one piece.

I dealt directly with All American Trucking & Transport. They were very friendly, responsive, and courteous.

If you are not familiar with regular costs of such a shipping and dont want to overpay i would suggest using https://clicktrans.com/. Everything you have to do is to list your BMW and the origin/destination point and wait for quotes from transport providers willing to handle this shipment
