Selling on a onepay lease to a 3rd party. Tax back?

If you do the onepay lease option, and then decide to sell the vehicle in before the term is up to the likes of carvana, vroom etc, do they simply pay the price listed as the residual price on the contract and I get what’s extra, or is there also prepaid tax & rent charge paid upfront in the onepay that would be due back to me? I’m going to assume it’s lost & one of the drawbacks of doing onepay, but want to make sure from the pro’s.

Thanks!

You don’t get anything “back”, but your buyout amount does get adjusted for unearned rent charge.

I don’t know the answer regarding tax.

Is contractually only offered to you, the lessee.

More and more banks are closing the loophole where they let a third party dealer pay that price.
