Different brands definitely have better or worse handling of this system. The best version of it I have experienced was on the Palisade. Hardly even noticeable (which still doesn’t stop people on the palisade forums for treating it like it’s the end of the world). Was definitely better than Volvo’s implementation on my S90.

Is the no third party buyout a new rule? I got out of my XC90 lease back in 2019 with a third party buyout
If I bought out my Volvo lease and then flipped the car to Vroom/Carmax/Algo, how does sales tax work on the car loan?
Do dealers have a no sales tax loan payoff?
You pay sales tax when you buy out the lease. No sales tax is due when you sell it
