S90 Deal - Need advice

There is a target of 20-21% off w/incentives on a new one, so loaner should be more. But any extra discount will somewhat be negated by high mileage penalty.

I’m indifferent to new or loaner. Whichever one will land me a better deal. That being said, think 1k under invoice is possible on a new one before incentives?

I have a Volvo right now, so with the $7700 in incentives and $1000 loyalty, I’m getting a payment of $530 w tax in New Jersey on 36/12.

What that means is that payments will probably be very close on the new vs. loaner. So 7K miles does make difference.
I think it’s $500 loyalty. The %% I gave you assume about $2K under invoice, almost whole holdback.

What do you think of the below note from a dealer in Sacramento, CA:

For the Grey 2018 S90, this one has a little higher MSRP than the advertised lease special which will make the payment a little higher. This vehicle has a MSRP of $54,505, we are selling you the vehicle at $47,995. With 10k a year and putting $3,479 down your payment will be $501.83 plus tax. These numbers are base of approved credit.

He then came back with following:

My manager ask if you would be interested in a 2017 S90 T6 awd if we can get very close to those numbers?

My personal viewpoint is that Volvo has a problem on their hands with the S90. They are not selling even with large rebates. I would wait. I think these are going to get a lot cheaper in the fall. My local dealer has sold 2 of 19 2017s in the past 3 months and still won’t deal, which tells me they anticipate more manufacturer support as the 2018s flood the lot and sit.

Is it lease only. What if you have a financed car with 6 remaining payments?

How about this?

MF is .00023 (or .00028) = 0.552%-0.672% Check Edmunds or here, I posted before.
Aqusition fee marked up. Didn’t check discounts

Nice deal. 399.2 depreciation. For some reason I am fascinated by 399

2k off is what i am being offered for a 6k loaner in NY

Sounds like a reasonable discount depending on RV impact. But since Costco gives 3k only on new, it seems not worth it to do the loaner.

Somehow they are still giving me the $3k off loaner. So let me throw this out there. 2018s have updated infotainment, longer wheelbase, and some have new panoramic sunroof. If I shift towards leasing a 2018 should I just wait to see if the incentives get better, my lease is up in October, and I have a Nissan so i don’t qualify for Conquest.

I put some feelers out for 2018s and the lease rates are like $15 cheaper than 2017 inscriptions.

I’ve been getting better prices on the 2018’s as an FYI partly due to the higher residuals which wipes out the additional ~$1700 in lease cash once you get above a $43000 MSRP which is nearly all of them. The dealers I’m working with have been discounting the 2018’s about the same as the 2017’s which is probably why they still have a good amount of 2017’s in stock.

What prices have you been seeing?

I got my eye on a 2018 T6 Momentum, $60,850 MSRP. With no conquest or lease pull ahead but with A Plan (Costco/employee).
Packages: Momentum Plus, Convenience, Metaalic Paint, protection Package, Spoiler, 19" wheels, Heated Steering Wheel.

This is in NY.

I got these rates:

10k 24Mos. $616/month 774 down all in
10k/36Mos $563/month 774 down
10k/39month $593/month 774 down

How much lower do you think I can get?

For Colorado on a 2018 T6 Momentum this is what I have:

MSRP $59,740
Cap Cost: $48,000 (includes $3,000 Costco, $4500 T6, $1500 Volvo Lease cash)
Residual: 55%
MF: 0.00053

$483/mo + tax for 36/10 lease. With 10 MSDs it goes down to $442 + tax. This is all with first and taxes at signing.

If your payments do not include tax you’re getting next to no discount from MSRP. The above quote I got only includes a $1550 discount once you add back in the $499 dealer fee and $695 acquisition fee to the cap cost if you exclude the rebates right now.

Mine does include tax, what is the $1500 lease cash?

Nevermind, this is the breakdown I got:

2018 S90 T6 Momentum (longer wheel base)

$60,850 msrp

$57,441 A-plan
4,500 summer sales
1,500 lease cash
-3,000 A-plan Elite
$48,441 sale price

Looking at your pricing, I should be more around
$557/month

Thanks for the comparables.

Also consider if it is an important feature to you, that VOC is 48 months complimentary for a 2018 vs 6 months for 2017.
Although, I was able to get Volvo CS to add more time to my 2017 at no charge…

Whats the monthly difference on a T5 payment vs T6?
