Use portion of rebates to cover driveoffs in lieu of reducing cap cost. Have dealer hold/reserve some of the % discount and use it to buy down MF instead.

Are you saying a dealer could theoretically take the $30k Audi incentive, only apply $25k to the cap cost, then use the remaining $5k to cover the taxes on that same incentive + any dealer fees / Audicare?

What were your deal terms before it was sniped ?

10% innovator discount off MSRP + $37,500 incentives (cannot combine innovator with Costco/penfed/etc.). The real negotiation was around MF, MSD, One-Pay, Dealer Add-ons, etc.

I’m about to test this theory. I told the dealer the above but he swears this will fund. Signed the DocuSign, I’ll find out tomorrow I expect: e-tron GT Premium MSRP 113k. 20k Audi, 7.5k lease, 5k Costco coupon, 2k military, 5.5k off msrp. 12/7.5k lease.
At 67% Audi thinks the car will be worth 76k in a year, they are selling it for 73k. About 3k in negative equity. Unclear if this will actually fly, but… Also unsure if you can stack Costco and military (the calculator thinks you can), but… We shall see. If this does stack there might still be some unicorns out there.

I doubt it will but please keep me updated. Also, buy Audicare for $899-$1k (varies per dealer) for a 1% residual bump. Good luck!

Audi care is much more then 1k on that car lol trying like 3500

Found the ding dong! False - Audicare price is negotiable, but the lowest I’ve personally seen it go is $899 on a 12 month lease.

Audicare is not even close to $3500 on that car.

I think the markup max is like $100-150 and its maybe a G on an EV

A deal fell through with another LH member so the dealer called me a while ago explaining the same thing. So they have to bump up the buy rate. They will bump up the sales price but will cut me a check on the back end once the deal is funded… let’s see!

I was told 3500 from a dealer so

Yeah the MF markup is the reason these deals aren’t unicorns. I understand why - dealers need to make money somehow if they’re going to sell these cars for almost nothing over RV. The way I understand it (and I could be very wrong) you’re essentially paying the interest on a 8-9% APR loan for $100k+ for 12 months PLUS whatever costs come with the car.

Dealer I’m working with added tints and Audi care for $2000

Oof. I’d see if you can negotiate the cost of the tint down, I don’t exactly recall the cost of tinting, but I think around $500 give or take $150? So you might be paying 100% markup on tint + Audicare for $899. Also remember, every bit of add-on you’re paying is spread across 12 months. So $1k is an extra $83/mo for a 12 month lease

I already agreed to the price :new_moon_with_face::new_moon_with_face::new_moon_with_face:

They haven’t sent me contract yet so maybe I’ll tell them. They said whoever has this deal came from LH but they got upset with bump up MF. I mean it’s a relatively good payment but let’s see.

Dealer said $1999 is for 2 years cause of cap reduction it needs to be over certain threshold

Hey at the end of the day if you’re happy with the deal that’s all that matters. Hope it works out and you get your sexy tinted eTron GT soon.
