Yep, this string of “words” jumbled together sums it up.
This really sucks man, I’m sorry. I am def trying be mindful of what can appear on my credit report or not. I forgot to pay a small medical bill recently as well, and it was sending the payment bill to my old address so I was not aware. Of course it dropped my score 100 points. I hired a consultant / law firm to get this off my report, and was successful. Below is the one I used, if the late bill is still appearing on your record. They will be able to take it off
Also there has been new regulations issued where medical debt under $500 is mandated to be removed from your credit. Below is an article if helpful
Be careful though mentioning you forgot a menial doctor bill - @DailyDriven this guy is a particular no life - you might get awake the hoard of holier-than-thou members on here noting your irresponsibility for not paying the bill on time and that you deserve the hit on your credit report
For future reference, whenever you ground a lease (the dealer doesn’t purchase it, you are not buying/leasing from the same brand) — you will get a bill in the mail for the disposition fee, and as you have learned it’s in your contract, you have to pay it, or it goes to collections and ends up on your credit report.
Keep in mind you can mute users here, and it will make your experience much more pleasant.
Yeah, it was back in 2010. I’m glad that they changed the law for medical bills. I did my final refi 2 years ago at 1.99% for a 15 year, so all good now, but I don’t mess around with anything that can affect my credit scores
Kinda the point of your thread here, is it not?
Some might call asking for advice on how to get away with not paying your contractually owed debt “insufferable”. Pay the damn fee and move on with your life.
Also when you ask for advice, try to be gracious towards people who actually respond.
All three points nailed it.
OP comes on here and starts by saying he is unethical and will not contractually do what he is obligated to do. He is told to live up to his responsibilities and pay the $395, but somehow anyone suggesting he do anything other than skirt those ethical and contractual obligations is somehow “sanctimonious” or “holier than thou” as he wants to “get out of paying something with no risk.”
Someone like @cahrens legitimately missing a payment on a medical bill has zero to do with your “I don’t want to pay” and “isn’t it more funny when I put ‘for r/UnethicalLifeProTips’ in my post” nonsense. A mistake is one thing (and nobody would give someone such as @cahrens grief for that), while ducking your obligations and being a full a-hole about is totally different. It is because of douchebaggery like this that we all pay higher prices, etc.
Hopefully you don’t pay it and your credit goes to 400 so that you can’t lease or finance another car. At least that way you will slink back to Reddit on your way out the door here.
Potato knows this to be true and that’s why less than 20% of LHer can see his posts.
Man, must suck to take life so seriously. Hope my credit going to 400 will bring you happiness. Fucking loser no life
Wow, keep digging that hole with those super witty and solid responses.
Let’s Go @Brandon2 !
Do you believe some things are right and wrong, or do you only not murder people because you’re too soft for prison?
Asked and answered, now dead horse
