Return car w scrape or try to fix myself

That was the one thing I liked about black cars when I was in sales, a sharpie could do magic, although it came off in the car wash

That really depends on the model.

If it’s one that’s 10K underwater now I wouldn’t expect that to go away.

First step, hit it with some polishing compound and see where you are.

Try using TOOTHPASTE for a cheap and easy fix… if that doesn’t (but it should) or gets it close to passable-then figure it out after inspection… but toothpaste usually works great-just don’t ever use it to brush your teeth haha COLGATE works magic for scratches
Hop on Youtube if you need to see videos of how to…

Colgate might be too harsh on the paint, try WD-40 but make sure to wash it off when done.

Nope, WD-40 removes the transferred paint without damaging yours. Again, clean up the affected area as soon as finished. Leaves no marks as long as your paint was not damaged by the contact.

Thanks. However, I scraped the side on a concrete post in a parking garage. Looked like I would fit from the mirrors, but forgot that the door bulges out another 1/4" by the wheel well. “missed it by that much” (for those of my age)

That does not sound like a paint transfer then, but sounds like it would be bare metal showing.

APB: rogue concrete post on the loose, has some fresh black markings 2 feet off the ground, considered dangerous.

I don’t know about you but I usually leave a 1/2 inch to be safe. lol

I got pass on this. I did buff a bit to make it look lighter, but still noticeable.
Hopefully it can help.
