Actually includes “full appliance package” but just saw that it’s an affordable housing home - so income restricted.
“Bespoke” appliances are the freakin worst to
a) find
b) replace
They need to get rid of 55+ housing.
Let those dinosaurs use their tons of money they got from selling their homes for a million dollars after buying them from $20 and a sandwich
Oh trust me, I know what true luxury is lol. Sub Zero, wolf, Viking, Thermador are true luxury lol. But people are still not buying houses that don’t have SS and granite. Laminate Countertops and White appliances means that it sits longer than @anon65069371 waiting for a hydrogen station to be available.
Never going to happen especially in NJ cause all the towns LOVE them like we love GT3RS. Mid level taxes in exchange for no kids? Them ratables are GOATED
I honestly can’t wait till the Glitch MCconnell/Trump/Biden/Bush/Pelosi/Fienstein(thank god)/clinton generation are gone. they haven’t done a single thing right since the cowboys were superbowl champs
Enjoy your shitty snow season
While I’m out on the beach
The of Ayn Rand collects another welfare check in Galt’s gulch
The recent law change in Palm Springs affected their real estate market immediately. Unfortunately different rules in different places, the San Diego version had enough loopholes it didn’t really impact inventory from anything I read.
Institutionals are a big problem.
This needs to be it’s own OT off ramp topic.
That’s why we try not to “bespoke” about them.
Disagree. Bespoke, not samsung bespoke, not saying they are cheap but they are some of the easier ‘hacks’ relative to full MSRP. Miele, Sub/Wolf, Thermador, JennAir all trade at heavy discounts for showroom or refused deliveries, many still have ‘floor’ warranties as well. Plus appliance sellers on eBay will always go off platform and cut another 10%+ off.
Sub/wolf probably holds the most value on secondary prices especially ranges and glass door refrigeration (because who doesn’t want to see your tin foil swans).
The shit that will really fuck your kitchen or remodel timeline is when you’ve got a 38-inch LaCanche you need to service or replace. Or removing an AGA range.
We went from prefarted cars to prefarted ovens. This is PEAK LH
I can drive in the snow. You can’t drive without hydrogen…
I didn’t mean they were hard to find for purchase, I meant that they’re a pain to find in the kitchen, especially if you’re having guests over.
I’ll have to read about Palm Springs I didnt know they banned airbnb. Lots of areas of Miami Beach banned it as well but that was more to pander to the hotels that have a lot of power here. Airbnbs aren’t keeping the wealthy people from buying 6-10 mill sfr here!
I know nyc is trying or has banned it as well. I like the true Airbnb model it started as. Renting an extra room out to make your mortgage payments is a good thing, especially with current high pricing. But that just turned into a nightmare in many areas when the whole house becomes a short term rental. Bad for quality of life, no one wants to live next to that, nor should they have to, it’s against most zoning laws anyway.
I’m currently leasing a base 2023 Tacoma SR V6 4WD (Thanks @Jrouleau426). It literally has everything I need and nothing I don’t. Would I like to have heated seats? Yes. Would I like nicer wheels than the 16" steelies? Yes. Would it be nice if it had Blind Spot Detection, rear cross path detection, leather, a sunroof? Sure. Are all those things worth an extra $10K to me? Not right now.
tl:dr; PS capped the total number of STRs vs places that capped the number of STRs a person/company can operate there, which has a more direct effect on overall supply.
Garbage Yahoo summary because the analysis it links to is LAT - ignore the click-bait headline.
You pay for what you get. The 55+ communities down here in South Florida are better than most regular communities even though they are $900K+.
I don’t mind the price. I just hate that they are allowed to discriminate based on age and pay less in taxes
There was a time I thought seniors should have to pay less taxes. Or at least it should be capped based on income. But when a senior is classified as 55 they still benefit from the younger generation being educated etc. so they should
Be paying school taxes. Afterall with the ss system, current children will be paying their ss in 20 years.
The initial purpose of those communities I think was to lighten the burden on people living off ss. In addition to giving them a more peaceful golden years without kids playing on their lawn
You mean make it easier for the generation with over 50% of our country’s worth?
The generation that rigged the system for themeselves?
