Rate my deal on 2026 XC90 : 860$ month

This is the best I could do after multiple rounds of negotiations with multiple dealers around Austin

Need to decide if I should pull the trigger now or wait for next month to see if there are better deals. How does this look? None of the dealers are ready to do MSDs

MSRP: 76K

Discount: 6%

Incentives: 7k

Residual 0.00190
MF: 57%

Tax rate: Almost 0%

Zero DAS

Payment: 860$

You’re better off asking for help from @Benedetto. Seems like a weak discount.

There is no sales tax in your calculator.

Are you sure the rest of the inputs are correct (specifically the discount percentage)?

Also wondering if the MF they’re charging is buy rate.

I didn’t double check anything else.

There is no sales tax because they are lowering the tax rate to 0 by using lender tax credits. I checked Edmunds for the money factor and it’s not marked up

It’s not zero, but 1.25%

Do you know if MSDs are not a thing in Texas?

It’s a thing.

Both dealers I’m negotiating with in Austin are saying that they don’t do MSDs which was strange. My last lease 3yrs ago on xc60 was with Volvo in Washington and they applied MSDs without any fuss. They are however lowering the tax rate from 6.125% to 1.25% by using lender tax credits. This is on 2026 xc90 ultra. Also no conquest !

Anyone faced this issue? How can I ask them to take MSDs before signing the documents? Can you not do tax credits and msds together with VFCS?

Some dealers won’t do MSDs, even when they’re available.

Assuming they have otherwise met your target deal, you tell them that you’ll be there tomorrow at 11am to sign IF they can include MSD’s.

If they still won’t then thank them for their time but let them know their unwillingness to do MSD’s cost them this deal as you’re moving on to another dealer that will do them.

You are better off going to Dallas or Houston versus using one of the Austin dealers (they are owned by the same person so they don’t compete against each other).

Some dealers won’t do them. When I was shopping an XC60, one local dealer refused to do MSDs but the other would. However neither could touch a broker deal.

Moot point as I ended up with another car but other than saying I’ll sign if you do MSDs and I’ll walk if you don’t, nothing else you can really do.

Did you check the marketplace for your region? Did you reach out to any of the brokers? Calculate your total cost of what you can easily buy via marketplace broker/dealer vs what you can do yourself, then decide.

All non-expert buyers should use marketplace as a benchmark in my opinion.

I have checked the pre negotiated deals posted here for this model and they couldn’t beat the local price I was able to negotiate. No didn’t post in the forum asking for dealers to respond. I do have contacts from 2 dealers that I previously worked with on my last leases and they didn’t have any better deals

Look in the marketplace forum in the South region.

This isn’t a leasehackr level deal it’s like a standard come off the street deal.

Good luck.

Did you filter for your region in the marketplace forums and browse through daily posts ? Pre negotiated deals are frequently bested by daily deals . Somebody mentioned @Benedetto , I am not sure he serves your region though.

I agree that the discount is weak on this. I view 8% as a minimum - negotiated my xc90 down by over 9% (not apples to apples comparison since it was a 2025.5 and in a different state, but just a viewpoint).
