Ram Hemi Returns!

Props to Tim Kuniskis, this is what they should’ve done in the first place, offer the hemi alongside the hurricane.

Fun note, every Ram with the Hemi will have the GT exhaust standard.

Yes hi, can I get residual and MF on a 2026 RAM v8 42/15k? I have affiliate!

Jokes aside I think this was necessary. They messed up and now let’s give the few that still care for the brand this option. If I’m going to get a Warlock or a Rebel I need a v8 in there.

Will they address the misfiring issue that apparently every Hemi Ram has past 100k miles?

this is leasehackr…who cares what happens after 36k?

Were Rams ever Hackable?

the big horn (or big corn, as my wife likes to call them) and laramie trims seem to almost always have low mfs, decent rebates and discounts but you have to deal with cdrj dealers, so maybe it’s a wash

Definitely. Big horns (and sometimes Laramie’s) generally have solid lease programs.

And a lot of money has been made by guys on here flipping RHO’s and TRX’s.

Um….. no

“The engine will be virtually identical to the previously phased-out Hemi. Combined with the mild-hybrid eTorque system—which is mandatory equipment, by the way. It makes 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. That’s less than the standard output Hurricane’s 420 hp and 469 lb-ft of torque, and it’s significantly less than the high output model’s 510 hp and 540 lb-ft. To that, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis says, “So what? It’s what the people want.”

This engine will basically be 13 years old when these things go on sale. Sure a lot of trade offs for the V8 soundtrack. And as you note, it’s not like a long in the tooth Toyota engine which has bulletproof reliability going for it.

I don’t think this was a mistake at the time. They had series fleet fuel efficiency issue, had an objectively better engine available and wanted to stop buying energy credits from Tesla and other EV makers. The new administration has breathed life into the V8 but even still Stellantis doesn’t appear to actually be investing money into improving the decade old HEMI. Just plopping it back into a truck it was already designed to fit into.

Big Horn on employee lease in Michigan were like $172-$250 a month awhile back.

But these are outliers, aren’t them?

I checked the Signed Deals & Tips and the lowest I found in the last 4 years was 459/mo. The only sub $400/mo deal there was on Feb 2020.

I wonder if anyone remembers the $99/mo ram express leases back in 2015

And @AndreG not a lot of posts on here about rams, but I’ve helped a couple people in the last 2 years get big horns for about $400/mo. Nothing unicorn worthy, but they’re solid a deal for an ICE half ton truck

Personally I think the rams are the nicest trucks to spend time in. Great ride quality, the 8 speed is super smooth and the fit and finish is really nice.

That’s good to hear. Definitely a reasonable price, specially for a truck (well below the 1% MSRP mark).

Tradesman with the night edition is awesome value. I almost pulled the trigger on 1 but was torn between 3.6 etorque or 3.0 SO. But now V8 option is perfect once more details come out with rebates.

Yep Falls Motor City near Cleveland was advertising hemi 4x4 for like $170 a month with nothing down. I might still have the email when I inquired about one.

I’ll get one right now if they still have it!
