That sounds like a very reasonable conclusion to draw (that EQ-whatever isn’t worth a custom order).

Regarding immediate buyouts, those are recommended for cars that qualify only large leasing rebates, have horrible lease structures, and have some chance at recent real-world resale value (so Lexus RX PHEV, Toyota RAV4 PHEV, Mercedes GLE PHEV). EV have such terrible resale value that you generally do NOT want to own one.

The EV S-Class will still be on a separate platform, but I take this to mean that MB will try to make it as cosmetically similar to the ICE S-Class as possible.
