I usually don’t bother with that. As the clock is winding down and I have what I believe is my best price I will circle back and give every dealer that I’ve deemed worth talking to an opportunity to beat the quote I have in hand. I don’t think I’ve ever actually run into a situation where any of them took me up on that chance. If I’m reaching out it’s to beat what I already have, giving some weight to things like geographic proximity. If you’ll match it and you are 10 minutes away from me, that’s a win.
I understand however when you mentioned “readjusting” I am wondering what that meant?
