I am in Northern California; long story short my Mom died of cancer very young 13 months after diagnosis. I am wrapping up affairs here in Northern CA, only been back for 2 weeks from Asia and renting from Hertz at about $250 per week [ Currently given a Buick Encore GX].
The options I have are to go for a 24/10 on a 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Lux 1; I am out the door at $425 monthly on a true 0 down.
The other option would be a 36/10 on an base Q6 Audi E-tron and haven’t negotiated those numbers fully, but I would peg it at around $480 on a true 0 down.
MSRP of both vehicles are comparable, and I know for Cadillac you need at least 6 months left on the lease, not so sure about Audi. Doing a true 0 since the MF on both is low and I figure I can always offer an incentive to get out of it rather than trying to have someone pay me to takeover.
I am leaning towards the Audi.
However, from browsing Swapalease, it seems that neither the Lyriq nor the Audi have had any “pending” or “sold” current status, so I am turning to crowdsourcing the info ![]()
I feel car rates will definitely be higher in 2 years if I do stick around, hence the 36/10 on the Audi since the RV difference on 24 vs 36 is about 7%.
Any thoughts on which would be the easier lease to transfer?
In 6 months, 18, or even 24 I don’t know if I will stick around here or not; and I want to lease the car that will be more “desirable” when I seek to exit it. There is a chance I do stay here, so needless to say my head is spinning. I was raised in the Bay Area, but am single and know that I will either move within the US, or if work permits spend majority of my time in Europe and Asia.
Thank you for any thoughts you may have. Sorry if this is the wrong forum for the question.
