So this guy made $2,500
Went over 14000 in 1 year @ 0.15 = $2100 (Assuming this keeps up all 3 years)
So actually made $400 in a year…ick.

From my understanding he basically put himself out there for nothing. Not worth it
Imagine if it was at all difficult for captives to find out who is violating their lease agreement
I imagine Turo would consider selling a data feed.
Door Dash is not a short term rental. How does it violate the lease agreement?
My understanding is most private leases prohibit the use of leased car for commerical purposes such as Uber/door dash. The bigger issue is you need commerical insurance. If you get in accident driving for commerical purposes with only normal insurance, your insurance will not cover your damages if they find out what you were doing.
As one example…
First paragraph of the BMW lease I have in my file prohibits the “transport of goods or people for hire…”
Ally and one other company (forgetting the name) actively search for their VINs on Turo and default the lessee if they find their car. They don’t play around
Not since the 2A has a missing comma so skewed the author’s intended result. If your friend is a birthday and you give them a ride to a children’s party…
Not sure if it still is in play today, but BMW used to allow Uber/Lyft/Turo etc if you tell them. They will charge a premium on the lease, but the paperwork is clean.
Right but that is BEFORE you take the lease, so BMWFS charges you more. This is AFTER your lease.
Is a 2700 towing capacity too low? I have a Subaru Outback that we can look into trading.
