Odd question, but how does the Porsche self-driving on the Macan compare to the self-driving on say a Q5? Is it the same system (VW)?
No full self driving system on Macan. Adaptive cruise control is standard and optional lane keep assist available. Electronic control systems are pretty toned down on Porsche models as they take away from the driving experience Porsches are know for.
The capability varies by the models and is based on the optional equipment that particular car has. But yes, similar tech to Audi/VW but a bit more toned down.
The outgoing Macan is such a driver’s car, it would be a shame to let the computer drive it.
Also, I think Audi’s self-driving tech is poor overall. BMW is the only game in town among the krauts.

The EQS system is really good, too bad the cars are unreliable.
I don’t VAG actually advertises their driver assistance system as anything close to “self driving” they way BMW does either. I went from a BMW to an Audi without reading the window sticker too closely, turned on the cruise control thinking it was going to be like DAP and…well it didn’t actually let me hit the guardrail but it sure woke me up.
