Turned in my G80 EV after 19 months (6mon extension) and was curious to know what the consensus is on the possibility of getting a Polestar 3 or EX90 w/ Bowers for $400-450/m effective in the near future. Should I expect an opportunity like that or adjust my expectations?
I considered ICE but realized it doesn’t make sense after doing the math. Had the opportunity for a G70 for $215/m eff. last month, but factoring in gas brought my effective cost to $400-450, hence why I’m looking for an EV in that range instead. Spoiled by free/extremely cheap charging at home lol
I have been negotiating polestar 4 but so far the deal just isn’t there. My P2 is $317 effective and I’m just not willing to come up extra $200 for the P4. Tesla sitting around $400 effective right now - but don’t really want M3.
EX90 RV is so atrociously bad that you’d need like a 30%+ discount to achieve a reasonable payment on it. They struggled to clear MY25 inventory so I imagine it’ll be a long time before you see decent discounts on MY26
Yea seems like a bad market. I’m also looking for a similar cheap EV deal in NC area. Going to miss my ioniq 5 for 250/mo effective need to return that in 3 weeks
Might be right, realized most of the decent deals are with loyalty, too. I think I’ll still keep an eye out until end of the year and try my luck with a loaner lol. Flexible w any state so there’s a higher chance I get a hit for <$500 Polestar or EX90. Worst case I’ll settle for a cheapo EV.
Kinda only doing this for the Bowers lol. My goal is to stick it out until Ioniq 6N releases and is doable for <$600/m
B&W was my mandatory requirement when I was in the market three months ago, finally shortlisting P3, EX90 and iX and settling on iX. I would have gotten a used P3 if I couldn’t find a good deal on iX. Used P3 with Bowers was about $40k before the oil price messed up all the used market on EVs. You may get lucky if you are patient.
Another option is to grab XC60 PHEV. It is just few grands away from your goal, based on marketplace numbers.
