Eh, what the hell. I’ll post here too. Nobody bit on my $199/mo Huracan haha.

To make this deal work with the current residual it’ll likely have to be a courtesy vehicle where we can hit the 40-41k sell price (it’s about 48-49k MSRP equipped how I want it). It’s aggressive. I know. And I’m aware brokers may not want to be bothered with shopping courtesy vehicles I do not qualify for loyalty.

  1. Year/Make/Model: 2018 Cadillac XT5 Luxury
  2. Budget or Vehicle Type: under $420/month + $1500 (title/acq, etc)
  3. Term/Mileage: 36/10k
  4. Region/State: FL (will travel FL/GA/AL)
  5. Preferred method of contact: PM/Email

I tried to get there on my own. Dealers in Florida are doing things like not sharing numbers, marking MF way up, I’m over it.

Spoke with a trusted broker the other day that suggested I come up a bit from my previous $400. Not ready to go to his suggested amount just yet. I’m grateful for his time and input and hope to work with him in the future, I did get the impression shopping courtesy vehicles weren’t something he wanted to deal with.

This is my last-ditch-effort on Cadillac.

Definitely agree on the Florida dealer games. I am worn out. Even tried what is supposed to be a good bmw dealer in Atlanta and they were just as bad. Trying to get me to buy LoJack - seriously on a connected drive car.

Ok rant over.

:joy: Is LoJack still a thing? Wonder if I can get the dealer to install a Viper alarm system! I haven’t had anyone try to sell me undercoating or anything yet. Just a lot of outrageous prices and “the 2018s are highly sought after” as if some new strategy of theirs is to discount a 2018 less because people are purposely looking for a deal. Awesome logic. Maybe also because it’s Florida and it’s Cadillac, their strategy is to screw old people who don’t know how to use the internet.

I’m really put off by the whole car shopping thing at this point. I’m just gonna but a used BMW M3 and call it a day if I can’t get a solid deal on a lease in the next week.

Im helping my uncle get a car with the the requirements below

Must be under $240/month including taxes

Maximum out of pocket/due at signing - $500

12k miles per year for 36months

Sedan /Hatchback/Crossover (Cant be smaller than a Corolla)

Automatic Transmission

Blind spot system - If possible

I requested quotes from Toyota, Honda, Subaru and Nissan. Responses has been meh!

These are the quotes I got so far for 36 months and 12k miles/year

|1|Honda Civic LX (no blind spot) 256/month 500 out of pocket

|2|Subaru Impreza Premium (no blind spot) 252/month 500 out of pocket

|3|Subaru Impreza Sport (has blind spot) 289/month 500 out of pocket

|4|Nissan Rogue SV with Tech (has blind spot) 289 per month 500 out of pocket

|5|Subaru Forester|Premium (has blind spot) 249 per month 2700 out of pocket

So far all them are above the budget. Do you guys think they can come down more or do I need to look at other cars ? Thanks

Preferably something AWD if possible. if not, a midsize sedan works as well.
Thanks!

Request: around $250/mo

No Hyundai?
