Hi all,

I’m handing back my Cadillac LYRIQ lease in a couple of weeks and exploring my next options. My LYRIQ was around $400/month at 10k miles — I see the market has shifted significantly since then and I feel so lucky I got a great deal back then thanks to you all.

I’m looking for a not-too-large SUV at 12k miles/year, preferably with a brand that’s lenient on condition at return. I’m a Tier 1 credit buyer (820), current Cadillac lessee (conquest), educator, medical/healthcare professional, Costco Executive member, and Sam’s Club member. I also own a Mercedes C300, Porsche and a Jeep Cherokee. Open to hybrid/EV and would like to pay not a huge amount more than my LYRIQ which is potentially unrealstic.

I’ve reached out to Volvo, Lexus, Audi, and Genesis — quotes are coming in far above where I would be interested (which is fine). I’m waiting to hear back from Cadillac.

I’m in Omaha, Nebraska. Are there Nebraska-based lease brokers and how does that typically work?

I’m also seriously considering just buying a 2026 RAV4 PHEV XSE or a used Acura MDX Type S and calling it a day.

Im trying to put down as little as possible, and have a low payment. I just want a really good deal…LOL,LOL. Got a 23 Durango hellcat is that qualifies as a conquest, have sams club, costco, and Bj’s memberships, and CS is 750ish. Financed loans through MBFS 5-7 years leading up to covid. So I’d definietly appreciate any help. Feel free to PM too.

As a heads up…I did a quick check on Ratefinder and the MF is far higher and RV a good bit lower on a 2025 than a 2026.

I acknowledge that you indicated you weren’t interested in a 2026, which in itself, isn’t an issue…however it may be far harder to get a good deal on one with at least two variables stacked against you.

Any Mazda brokers in the Marketplace that service NY/ NJ that you found in your search?

Two years ago y’all helped me score a one-pay on a Blazer EV that ended up being barely over $200 a month.

Different times now and I don’t necessarily need a one-pay but that lease ends at the end of this month and so now I’m looking to get into another 24 or 36 month lease. Prefer small to midsize SUV. Looks like I missed out on some of the 2025 Honda Prologue madness but willing to look at anything with tax credits. Slim picking when utilizing the “tx” tag for signed deals…help me with some ideas! I’m willing to do some legwork just want to try and narrow the scope a bit.

I’m in Houston, TX but of course willing to travel in and drive off for a good deal…

fwiw I don’t even look for posts tagged with my state (or even neighboring states). It’s an instinct that I’ve learned to resist.

As you’ve probably noticed a Blazer EV lease is going to be 2X or more what it was two years ago. We recently replaced ours with a LYRIQ loaner for ~100 more (effective) than the Blazer cost us (about the same as yours), and in our opinions it’s a sufficiently better product to justify the additional cost, which is still absurdly low.

Are you referring to dealer and broker ads, and acquiring a vehicle that way?

I put together my own deals (as close to home as possible) using posted data from all over the US.

Ignoring states makes a lot of sense generally but because of the tax issues in Texas it’s a little more applicable considering it seems credit availability is about the only way it make sense.

That being said, I’m very much a novice in my full understanding of all of the variables.

Mind shooting me a PM with more details about your lyriq lease and how you went about finding it. I remember back in 2024 there was some decent numbers on those too.

It’s basically using the data about a given model that’s posted in various forums here (broker/dealer ads and signed deals from other members) to make offers yourself.

The final lease cost always has regional nuances, not just sales tax.

First year registration varies a lot from place to place, sometimes incentives are different regionally, etc., but none of these things has anything to do with whether you have a good deal. You just account for them in the calculator so your offers are relevant when you present them.
