Sorry for several inquiries where I gave the wrong information about the tax, now I can confirm the number is pre-tax because in NY we pay tax upfront. Whenever you take the lease, you will pay tax to your own state.

so essentially the tax is paid twice? wow … I thought there would be a mechanism to get some credit for tax paid.

I think even if transfering within NY you still have to pay tax again. I am not able to get any paid tax back or use it as credit for you. Correct me if I’m wrong…
