Pay additional mileage upfront or at the end?

Does it make sense to pay for additional mileage upfront on the monthly payments or pay it at the end?

Since I can get a better monthly payment on a 36/10 vs a 36/12 - and my work is now all remote as opposed to serving 30 miles round trip a day - am wondering of it makes sense to get the lower monthly and save now.

It’s usually much cheaper to pay the extra miles up front if you know you’re going to use them.
