So, we went way over on our id.4 lease. 30k mile lease, we’re at 50k miles. The original plan was to keep the car but things changed and now we need something larger.
VW Credit said $.15 a mile if we pay before end of term, $.20 if we pay when we turn it in. $.15-20 a mile is fine, but I’m worried we may be hit with additional fees?
Car is in excellent condition, it’s just way over on miles.

Get a lease-end inspection, and for a VW it looks like they use Manheim (see the Manheim link from the VW turn in page below).
If the car is in good shape and the tires/wheels are all good then you should be ok. Pay the $0.15 per mile up front and be done with it as a lesson learned regardless of why you went it over as it isn’t the end of the world.
