One payment left on current lease and dealership has car that I want. Wait or eat it and pull the trigger?

Re-posting it since it was deleted for no reason. Thanks for the suggestions in the previous post. More are welcome.

Wasn’t deleted for no reason. It says why it was closed.

Says “Keep your questions in one thread.” Makes no sense here. Maybe it would be a good idea to confer with the OP first?

Wait. 202020

Do you suggest waiting in the likelihood that more cars are being sent to dealers that will likely have the same build?

If you are that picky, it will always cost more, so eat it.

Not being picky. Just wonder what other peoples experiences were in a similar situation.

If you had to ask for even one month you should definitely wait, I jumped into a new lease i3 with 11 months left on a one pay bolt. Now there is hardly any inventory of i3.

I mean picky in that you are wanting a specific build

I would say if the car you want has a special incentive and it may be worth it to lease it now and have he extra car for a short while. But if it’s a new car, why not find the same car in a month. You can always order a car and let the dealer find it for delivery next month. But if the car you want may be difficult to get, such as if it’s a 2019 model for example, it may be worth it to get it now.

Unless the dealer is having a blowout sale on the car you want, why not just wait.
What car is it anyway?

@JrzGuy I was in a similar situation at the end of Dec. My X5 expires on 2/1/20, with my last payment on 1/1/20.

I picked up my new vehicle on 12/21/19; the LR dealer made the financial incentive (on the new one) worth it for me to eat the last payment.

I actually have both vehicles now, as I didn’t see a reason to turn in the X5 until it’s due.

I asked you to keep all your questions in one thread. You’re at 7 and counting, just to lease one car. If everyone did that, this forum would be a cluster f.

Next time it will just be deleted with no warning.
