Offer Check 2026 BMW iX

My parents are at it again, this time with an iX. The dealer, predictably, has done them no favors. Attached is their “offer” for laughs. But it probably doesn’t help that this particular car is still on the “boat,” so our leverage is probably more limited.

Anyway, attached is the offer I’m trying to draw up for my Dad, but something isn’t working with my math as it’s showing a negative due at signing. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Thank you!

They’re not discounting this car at all. They’re only “giving” the rebate with add-ons and probably a marked up MF too. I can help them in SoCal, depending on what they’re looking for in an iX.

In your previous post they had massive negative equity in their existing lease. Did that get resolved / are they keeping it until term?

A few observations-

Your .0024079 is not valid. MF’s are of the form .00XXX. And, if you used it in one of my CCR formulas to determine the 5338.30 CCR, then your CCR is not valid. Also, why does your 1st payment of 894.00 differ from your contractual monthly payment of 1017.17? They should be the same.

Will crush this.

I feel like I could walk into a random BMW dealership, ask them to rip me off, and wind up with a better deal than this.

Except maybe Hawaii.

You’re gonna want the tru-coat.

You say it’s for laughs but every time you ask for a quote, the ship has sailed on any meaningful possibility of your making the offer and having it accepted.

No, unfortunately, this hasn’t been resolved yet. Their RZ450e lease is up in July.

So, making a counter-offer now is kind of pointless, at least for this dealer?

No. Respond exactly like they did above. Tell them this is an awful deal and you are going to look elsewhere.

They’ll ask you back for a counter and respond with exactly what you think you can get for a similar car from closed deals here. Work from there.

Thank you for your input, delta.

Ok. So, .00240 for the MF.

The 1st payment makes a circular reference, but I fixed it. Now the total amount due at lease signing is -$25.87. This doesn’t seem realistic. Am I putting the mfg rebate in the right place?

This would cover Christmas gifts for all of Brody and Brad’s children and allow for a steak dinner with the wives too.

If you are asking for the dealer to use the rebate to pay all up fronts for a $0 DAS they would take any leftover amount like your 25.87 and treat it as a down to reduce cap…otherwise they could do a ‘we owe’ of this 25.87.

As others have stated this is a HORRIBLE deal with no discounts and the adds…use a broker or push for 10-13% off MSRP.

So then this discussion is entirely moot, unless I’m missing something?

I wouldn’t know. You need to post your revised spreadsheet so I can review all your calculations.

I’m not sure what you did as your spreadsheet is a little confusing. You have a few calculation errors. However, based on your data, here is what I was able to piece together…

MSRP… 79650.00
Dealer Disc… 7000.00
Sell Price… 72650.00
Capitalized Costs
Doc Fee… 85.00
Acq Fee… 695.00
Gross Cap… 73430.00
CCR- Partial Rebate… 5236.17 (CCR formula)
Adj. Cap… 68193.83
RV… 43807.50
MF… .00240
Term… 36
Sales Tax Rate… 7.75%

Base Pay… 946.20
Contractual Pay… 1019.53

Lease Inception Fees
1st Pay… 1019.53
Partial Rebate CCR… 5236.17
CCR Tax… 405.80
Reg./License… 796.75
DMV… 33.00
CA Tire Fee… 8.75
TOTAL… 7500.00
Rebate- Credit… 7500.00
DAS… 0.00

Bottom line: DAS = 0.00 followed by 35 monthly payments of 1019.53 each.

??? Let me know.

Wouldn’t your parents lives be easier with this? PS BMW has had it for about 100 days now so you should be able to do better on the price - say at least 20% off - and discount the adds. Tell Brad you will split MF markup and will do 20 points, you want paint protection at cost (about half their ask) and the stupid tracker taken out for privacy reasons. Stargard is downright nasty! Say hi to Brad and GL!
