This is on a '23 or? We ordered a new WRX manual in '02 as soon as they became available in the US back when we lived in MA. I made my wife drive it and I bought a new S2000 for myself. 
I always felt like the WRX was the perfect winter beater. I need to go read the WRX thread and see what can kind of deals can be had.
