I was going to ask those with the E what they were getting real world. The S seems to perform better than the EPA rating, and I was hoping the E would be the same.
I think with a slight drop and the AMG 21âs it would look much better than the S
Also should have said the seats are sport seats, not the AMG seats, which are more aggressive. The range (4Matic in particular) is wildly understated.
On the software side, it is quite behind Tesla. Although Apple Carplay and Android Auto are nice. But the worst part of the software is, you canât schdeule charge time for off peak hours at home from the car or the app! We have a dumb L2 charger laying around, did not buy a new wifi capable L2 charger, have to physically plug it in for it to start charging.
On the flip side, the first free fast charging went well at the EA charging station nearby, will likely use it most of the time anyway. Tesla defintely has the superior fast charging network.
If it were not the 24-mo lease I might have considered the mods.
BTW, this just in, Q1/23 MB BEV sales in the US was up 327% YOY.

Does EQE really not have âCharging Pauseâ function that is available in EQS ? You are able to add multiple entries there. This is available in both the Mobile App and MBUX in car.
Charging Pause is a utterly useless feature.
Very useful for my SCE TOS plan. I tell it not to charge during peak times which makes it charge during off peak. You must have a very complicated TOS plan with your utility, condolences.
I am a long time Tesla guy and knew how our off peak plans work. Charging Pause only pauses an active charging session, it does not activate a pre-scheduled charging session. We schdule charging at home after midnight. The car or the app does not have such feature.
OK being a newbie, I donât know what this means, hopefully not what I was thinking.
youâre saying you cannot schedule charging? i use that a lot on my etron and teslas
Yes, and I certainly hope I am wrong, seemed bizarre MB does not have such feature.
The leasehackr affect
In short, when the market is as relatively small as it is for this car, there are enough of us here on this board that the market can actually be moved.
It is definitely slowing down the Tesla S/X sales in the US.
Is there data out there on this yet? This would not be surprising as these cars sticker around the same and are similar in size (and therefore on the surface would be competitors), but the effective cost on them with the current MB programs makes the EQS probably half the cost of the competitive Tesla.
I wonder how many thousands of dollars per car MB has to lose to make these inroads?
I learned this forum after several of my friends in socal leased or bought EQSs, they were all Tesla owners or prospective Tesla buyers. About 50% of them went for the EQSs, the others still got Teslas.
I was told her dealer moved about 400 units last month, including EVs. I have people in my circle tend to follow me whatever autos we get too. Definitely will tell them to reach out to her.
Update. I did find out my dumb L2 charger has a delay feature, something I did not pay attention to when I used it to charge the Tesla. It works now. Before plugging in the EQE, delay the charging to start after midnight, then plug in. The MB software is very much behind though.
Local dealer has a 22 EQS 450+ (RWD) with 105k MSRP that just came out of loaner service and they called me. I live in the east so not sure if I should try and make a deal considering this is RWD. I think I need AWD so probably pass on this one? Advice?
Going to be signing deal shortly, but after months of building a relationship with a GM at dealer (and giving him some other business), I am about to sign a new 2023 EQS 450 4Matic Sedan. MSRP 112kish. $1,500 TOTAL out of pocket including 8.375% taxâŠ13/7.5k leaseâŠ$689/month. Think I am going to take!
ThanksâŠnot sure if I will be able to do better as we get closer to end of monthâŠI seem to think this is an excellent deal given every other dealership in the country told me to take a hike. Donât want to get greedy either. GM here actually took the time to discuss MF, Residual, etcâŠ
All around amazing experience.
