DP: I got my car in MA. Registration took ~8 weeks start to finish. If everything runs smoothly it could be ~5 weeks but I wasn’t rushing (for my own reasons). Remember no temps in MA. Shipping with v reputable transport broker was ~$900 for a sedan from NYC to Miami, though should be a bit less now that less people are moving down here, but obviously more from MA to Miami. ---

It is the posters understanding that one of the cars in the post includes a gasoline engine, and therefore does not require an external gas generator, however the picture came up on the initial search and seemed to have demonstrate the point. Additional research would have required time that the poster was not willing to spend on a joke. ---

Oh how much I hate videos that could have been a radio broadcast. Point the camera outside, on the instruments, on something relevant to the video. Use 2 cameras for PiP. How do you talk about instruments and keep filming yourself? Show weather forecast that shows winds at the time, something useful. ---

I can honestly say I don’t care about the range at all and even less so in a Bolt of all things (haven’t driven American in 20 odd years, and unless something really changes not planning to start). Until EVs can be charged in at least as many places as I can fuel an ICE car and at the same speed, it’s really irrelevant to me how far they can go on a single charge. When we take road trips, they are not planned around specific gas stations, they are planned around where we want to go and what we want to see. I don’t need to be held hostage by chargers that may or may not exist and when they do may or may not work. EVs are the future, but I’ll wait until others work out the kinks. I’m also going to wait until either all cars look like god awful shit (Hyundai EV, ix3,etc), or EVs will look like normal cars (eTron, id.4). Forgot to add from the video. It’s 13mph an hour wind kind of headwind but not really, and the temperature is 64 degrees, which is a few degrees lower than he would like it to be for the range test. Pardon me, but are you effing kidding me? These are cars considered good for general release? I need a degree in meteorology to know if I’ll make it my destination.
