No leasing out of state?

Found a better deal on an F150 in Ohio yet they come back to me saying they can’t extend lease offers out of state!?! I didn’t even know this was an issue are there ways around it?

This just happened to me when I went to Florida to look for a lease at Land Rover. Told me they can’t do it. I called the corporate office and they said there’s no reason why they can’t.

Very bizarre indeed.

I think it depends on whether or not the dealer wants to put forth the extra effort or not. I had a couple dealers willing to lease me in OH while I live in PA. The stumbling block was the emissions requirements in PA are more stringent, and the cars in OH didn’t have the correct emissions certification.

It depends on the dealership.

Some will not lease out of state since it can be a funding issue.

If you mess up a contract - it’s not too bad on a purchase.

Leasing is a whole other game.

Leased numerous cars across state lines and registered them in other states. Like others have said it is finding the right dealership to play ball with and find a killer deal to go with it.
