NJ Jeep Dealers Not Interested In MSRP Discounts for 2022 4xe

,

Man, this is wild.

I can’t find a dealer in NJ who is willing to even discuss a discount off MSRP.

“we would politely pass on that deal. We are not discounting are vehicles at this time in addition to the incentives and rebates available. The one pay lease option is not something that is available either.”

They have 15 2022’s in stock… no motivation to get rid of em I guess.

Same answers in South Jersey (Atlantic City) as central jersey (Monmouth County)

A lot of car dealers became car collectors in 2022. God speed to them! :grinning:

I’ve Been running into the same issue the last few days as well. Tried to make a deal on a 22’ last week and they didn’t go for it, now 22’ lease support is pulled.

Hoping they start to loosen up towards middle of the month… if you find someone tell them they can have 2 sold, I’ll come take one also.

Try Suresky CDJR in Goshen, NY.

Would also suggest you look into affiliate discount.

With the lease incentives and incentivized mf gone on 22s, youd be insane to not go with a 23

What I’ve seen is that dealers in the NYC metro area do not want to discount MSRP on 4xe at all. There are the incentives, but its still an overpriced car with no discount.

Yeah I just assumed they had motivation to get rid of old stock.

I assumed poorly.

Yea they must sell enough at MSRP in the metro area to make it worth it. You can look out of market to a dealer with realistic pricing and have the car shipped for less $.

All my prior cars have been outside the tri state or out of state. I assume they get a lot of NYC people and tri state people who don’t care about pricing or think they’re getting a good price. It seems that when these dealerships get anyone asking educated questions they get offended/standoffish and start throwing numbers around to beat around the bush. I had a manager the other day start trying to throw $1k/mo around and rambling numbers off, said thank you have a nice day.

Even if they do, it would take probably an extra $15k discount to be at cost parity with a 23.

Why don’t you use a broker from market place?

Agreed. Lots of brokers offering solid deals just a little further south with @DistrictCars and @AutoCompanion . @AutoNinjas also had some tri-state deals as well.

That was my initial intentions since I didn’t want to waste time with dealers. I did reach out last week on a 22’ but was told nothing was available. I believe some of the brokers are doing builds, but now I’m cutting it close.

Yeah, reached out to one, we’ll see what they can do. Thanks.

Nj is just awful. Maryland, Upstate NY, VA, PA are all much better.

Would you sell an appreciating asset like an 18 month old Jeep?

Some of these dealerships are run so poorly it amazes me.

If you have 15 22’ 4xe’s on the lot, you’re either incompetent or predatory… most likely both.

Well run dealerships know when it’s time to discount certain vehicles and get them off the lot.

I agree, NJ CDJR dealers are in their own world. I tried shopping for a Durango in NJ and it was brutal. I ended up putting an order on a Durango through a broker on here. Both AutoCompanion and AutoNinjas are easy to work with and can get you better deals than you will find on your own, for sure. Why not go with a '23 4xe? You can probably get a better deal on a '23 and better resale, newer model year vehicle.

eh I’m Upstate NY and haven’t gotten many that will even budge off MSRP. A lot of them don’t have inventory either mostly in transit or 1-2 on the lot. Although I’ve mostly been trying Ram deals still but I’ve tried to get a few to give me ~5-10% on Wranglers with no bites. Other problem is dealers are low balling trade ins compared to 3rd party sellers by a lot in my experience. This is the worst hunting for a deal I’ve ever experienced but I mostly missed out on the covid madness. First time I’ve really inquired brokers or had to shop out of a small area for a deal. I’ve had some luck in MD on Rams (but still more than I want to spend) so maybe Wranglers there.

Upstate NY was for BMW (went through HN308) and Toyota (Jrolouex?) For my TRX I went thru autocompanion. The only NJ deal I’ve done recently was Acura through Aronchi for my cousin.

Unfortunately for some affiliate isn’t readily available to some, unless there is another way?

I have affiliate discount through my employer as well, which I found out. Although affiliate pricing is like 1% below invoice I think? Not sure this even equates to much. I’ve had dealers try to BS me their invoice is only like $900 less of MSRP on vehicles
