Called a bunch of dealers to try to find one that would get the purchase price down. This one promised $32,000. Drove an hour to get there, and they run the numbers based on $34,000. After pointing this out, sales guy is like “but you’re getting $10,000 in incentives so you’re really getting it for $24,000”. I stayed firm and pointed out that I had made sure that the price agreed to was before incentives. In any case, after speaking to his manager, he came back with $32,500. They did try adding a $299 charge for VIN etching to the numbers which I made them remove, and tried pitching me various protection plans, but overall, it was pretty smooth, though the process did take over 3 hours, even though we didn’t even test drive the car or spend time looking at it. We went straight to business.

So far I am really enjoying the Ioniq. Very full featured for the price.

Congratulations! Enjoy the car!

Isn’t there also a $7500 federal tax credit on Ioniq? Making your monthly payment -$72 :astonished:

@overmotion Hyundai Motor Finance gets that. They basically pass it along, though.

@volvo1 Thanks! Considering I was driving a 16 year old Ford Focus until now, I think I will :).
