He also has like 5 evs right?
First month of charging 3 Ariyas at home using a Wallbox Level 2 charger
Total Miles = 1,408
NJ January 2025 Average Temperature = 36.5 degrees
Not bad overall. I expect the stats to improve as it gets warmer.
Hmm.
So, is it or it is not cheaper than ICE car with avarage of 25MPG?
My Ariya is a V8 guzzler in these frigid temps
Itās a fair comparison based on my January stats. The expectation is that it will improve as the weather does. The Ariya is cheaper than my Honda Ridgeline and definitely more fun to drive.
The winter reduced efficiency/range doesnāt seem as bad now since I just plug-in at home as needed. I definitely donāt miss the EVgo stations even if it was free.
My GV60 didnāt suffer as much as my Ariya during the winter.
Both cars come with a heat pump standard so Iām not sure whatās the main difference.
I had 30-40% loss over the last few months, which is a lot more than what I would expect without a heat pump
By itself on MPG during the cold front, Arya may not be cheaper. I was getting 200 miles on a full charge while in the summer it was close to 320 miles. So decent drop. Especially with $0.35 per kwh in CT all-in between generation and delivery and other shit.
BUT - my Arya is $200 a month while all other ICE cars usually double that to lease.
Plus had a free year of EvGo charging. When was the last time you could get an ICE car with a free gas card?
Same hereā¦
Iām glad I took my GV60 to the mountains for a day trip instead of the Ariya⦠it was already a pain with the Genesis, with the Nissan it would be a nightmare.
Anyone extend the lease on their Ariya? How many months can you extend?
We were told by customer service 3 months.
Nissan dealership in Pennsylvania (Philly area) is looking to move their ARIYAs and offering the following May deals to DE/MD/NJ/NY residents:
2025 Nissan ARIYA Engage+ AWD (47k MSRP)
36 months / 5k miles per year
$229 a month with $229 due at signing
$199 a month with $199 due at signing with loyalty (currently own/lease a Nissan)
2025 Nissan ARIYA Evolve+ AWD (50k MSRP)
36 months / 5k miles per year
$279 a month with $279 due at signing
$249 a month with $249 due at signing with loyalty (currently own/lease a Nissan)

If interested, PM me and I will put you in contact with dealer.
wth⦠5k miles/year?
I think Grandma driving to church every Sunday and some shopping will use up that allocation. Thatās 100 miles a week. Lol.
I think itās $20 more to get that back up to 10/12k. But the 5k rule is plain stupid.
This more aimed at the person who wants a 2nd fun car..but a Nissan Ariya is not that kind of car.
Itās cheaper to buy the miles at the end of the lease for $0.10 then it is to pay for the miles up front, at 1% RV hit per increment, plus you avoid paying money factor and tax when buying them just prior to lease end.
I have a dealer trying to get me in a 24 engage+ for $400 / month all in for 36 / 10k in NY. I think I can do a little better.
Does Nissan allows for lease transfers? Iām considering SAL my 23 Ariya Empower+
Thatās way too much for an Engage in my opinion.
Thereās a big gap in options between the Engage and the upper trims.
not for 36 months lease if I am not mistaken.
@littleviolette
can you please double check lease calculator RV for 2025 Nissan Ariya
I see no 5k miles option and no change in residual between 7.5k and 10k.
TIA
IIRC, you can transfer, but remain on the hook if your transferee flakes out.
