Nissan ARIYA Discussion Thread

In 2 months the 2023s will but the 2024s no.

Note : Just got the ‘add your payment to your Nissan App’ message. I suspect this is because Tesla will go live soon.

How would that work? I thought Tesla chargers don’t have CCS ports. Or do they? Or that’s the part where we would need to have adapters?

You hit it! Going rate is about $200 right now and the word is Jan 1

Last two months left LOL

Greeted with this warning in one of my ARIYAs :warning:

Also recieved the following service notifications for all my ARIYAs:

Looks like I will be spending time at the dealer…

I’m taking my car in for those updates (and the 7.5k service) on Friday. Should be fun.

In NACS news, Tesla’s website now shows Nissan as a supported manufacturer for NACS charging, though no press releases yet that I’ve seen

Nissan appears to be offering 2 different adapter choices, but details are scant.

T99F9-5MP1A from Luxshare
T99F9-5MP1B from Tesla

$240ish depending on the dealership.

What 7.5k? 5k rotation 10k air filter right?

I thought it was a 7.5k service that I’d skipped, but the rotation and air filter, yes.

About 6 months in to my Ariya lease and I got 2 main complaints.

  1. the audio system SUCKS. The low end sounds like someone hitting a cardboard box. No punch, no bass…mid range and highs are okay but the low end has a weird frequency thats annoyingly boosted. It sounds like one of those portable bluetooth speaker.

  2. the turn signal stalk is infuriating to use along with the fact you can’t hear when the blinkers are on.

Other than that, it’s a pretty good car!

2023 Nissan Ariya Evolve+. Lesson learned. Took a rock in the interstate and have a broken windshield that is now illegal and unsafe to drive. It’s been over 4 months and there are no OEM windshields nationwide. Nissan consumer affairs told me that there is nothing they can do to include, no loaner, no rental, won’t take car back and nicely said, “too bad”. Can’t claim it as a lemon. Stuck with a car I shouldn’t be driving. DO NOT BUY NISSAN. THEY ARE SHORT OR OUT OF ALL PARTS FOR ARIYA WITH NOT ESTIMATE OF WHEN THEY WILL GET THEM!!!

Replace with non-OEM windshield.

Dispute this after lease-end if they charge for it; don’t bring it up otherwise. Solid case to waive the charge with your evidence that they could not supply any OEM windshield for you to replace with.

Brother its a Nissan Ariya, what level of audio did you expect?

There’s a recall now for IVI and CAN but I am seeing posts about the recall screwing up cars…

Not this man. It’s a $56,000 car. I expected better than a 2001 Chevy spark.

LOL, apparently it was indeed a cut & paste error on Tesla.com

https://www.tesla.com/NACS has moved Nissan back under Coming Soon.

:exploding_head: :upside_down_face:

So if you have CCS to NACS adapter, you can’t charge yet?

When tesla is ready, it will appear on the nissan app

App - Charge - Find in network chargers

has anyone done the recall for the IVI/CAN? hearing it takes 3+ hours at a dealer…one person on reddit said it bricked their car?

I just turned off the auto update for the maps and changed the software update to manual for now.

I’ve seen reports of people having it done in as little as 70 minutes. My dealer told me it would take about 90 minutes for the software updates.

I did the 10k service (tire rotation, cabin filter replacement, general inspection) and the software updates at the same time and I was at the dealer for about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

No issues at all with the car since the software updates.
